TIME AND TIDE TAG

Here is a very large tag (could be a bookmark) made to cover three challenges tonight.
Sunday Stamper's challenge is 'Time', Frankie's Tag challenge is 'Time and Tide and Wednesday Stamper topic is 'Orange' so this fits all three.
I stamped the various images from Sheena Douglass and Stampscapes in black Archival ink then played with my wonderful new blending tool from Tim Holtz to colour with lots of inks, mainly oranges with a touch of blue for the tide.
I added the orange ribbon and oversprayed with gold glitter spray from Crafter's Companion.

'I say, that can't be our chick - it's the wrong colour!'

Posted by Picasa Sorry - I do seem to be in Easter mode tonight with another card made using the Front and Back stamps - back only this time and a little freebie chick emerging from the egg. Again stamped and coloured with watercolours and oversprayed with Sara's glitter spray. The baby chick is coloured with some metallic pencils I found at Tesco and some new Permapaque pens. That's it for tonight. Ooh - Lili of the Valley have an 'Easter' challenge too so this is for you girls. Happy Easter. Sunday Stampers have the 'Birds' challenge today so all the cards I made tonight qualify, I must have been psychic.
Helping Hands Cute Daisy May Designs are looking for team members so this is one especially for them.

What's New Pussy Cat

Posted by Picasa
Could not resist posting two entries for Sunday Stampers 'What's New Pussy Cat' challenge this week. The first are using stamps from Caroline's Rubber Stamps, stamped (to make a scene, background coloured with direct to board inks) onto stampboard then covered with clear embossing powder, left rough to show the bubbles. I mounted it onto blue card over a piece of blue ribbon on a lighter blue card. For the second card I stamped the pawprints to make the background, used the crackle stamp from Cornish Heritage farms masking over the cat stamp to get the window effect. A blue ribbon and a couple of photo corners added for effect. This Blue cat with the green eyes looks exactly like our late cat Blue and oh how we miss her.

Flying Moon Pixie

Posted by PicasaWhen I saw that Sunday Stampers challenge this week was to use the 'Moon' in our creation I just knew I had to use this image. From Peerless Designs cd 'Pixie Dreams' I printed out the background onto card. I added red mirri board then the image layered over the top. I cut the corners using decorative scissors and added the stamped sentiment 'Joy is not in things but is in us' (from Glenda's Elusive Images) - sorry does not show up too clearly on the scan. I added clear Stickles Glitter glue to the wings and the stars and around the edges of the moon. 'Joy' fits the Step Outside Your Box challenge this week too.

Don't worry, Bee Happy

Posted by Picasa Here is card full of little stamped ladybirds, butterflies, bees and a lovely orange wooden bee for Sunday Stampers challenge this week. Copper Cuttlebugged mirri card onto a cream pearlised card forms the background for the insect stamped and alochol inked main image. I added a wooden flower, a ladybird and a butterfly as well as the little wooden bee and attached the peeloff sentiment.

Games Men Play

Posted by Picasa This is a birthday card for my husband on 31st and also for Sunday Stampers 'Games People Play' challenge. The background dominoes paper, beer glass, rugby and snooker decals are from a QVC set from Kanban. The main image I stamped and watercoloured with Lyra crayons then matted onto gold mirri card over the torn background paper. The snooker table, from Sharon Duncan, was part of the prize I won this week from Arty Girlz. All things on here are very relevant to Geoff of course.

The hearts and sentiment are stamped and coloured with alcohol inks and ink pads with a couple of red velvet hearts added.

Ebony and Ivory

Posted by Picasa I just love this stamp from who knows where. Stamped and highlighted with Stickles glitter glue, matted onto silver card then onto the black and white swirly paper with added silver peeloffs and yes - a silver tassel. The card opens in the front too. It is my entry for 'Ebony and Ivory' challenge at Sunday Stampers.

Lost in France

Posted by Picasa 'Lost in France', love that song, is the topic from Sunday Stampers today and here is one I made earlier, as they say. Background of the arch was created using alcohol inks then overstamped with lots of French stamps from who knows where. I added a little epoxy sticker too to give some dimension.

What is Inside the House?

Posted by Picasa I have tried to cover a few challenges here with this card in order to catch up from my holidays. DCM asked for a 'Different shaped card', 4 x 4 Friday 'Architecture', Dans Ma Maison was 'Metal', Layers of Colours wanted an 'Opening' and Sunday Stampers theme was 'Dogs'. Wow 5 challenges there. First, I stamped out the house and chimney onto copper pearl paper using the cracked Earth stamp from Cornish Heritage, cut out the door and windows and added to the 4 x 4 cream card which I cut to the shape of the house. I chalked the curtains and wallpaper and added window frames. I created the roof using gold metal run through the Cuttlebug and cut out the eaves for added dimension. I opened the door and added a little cat and dog waiting patiently for their owner to come inside.

Guest Designer for the week - Little Ole Wine Drinker Me

Posted by Picasa I have the honour this week to have been chosen as Hels first Guest Designer on her Sunday Stampers challenge site. These are the two cards I made for this 'Wine' challenge. Please do pop over and visit Hels and try the challenge for yourself too, she has some lovely creations to be seen there. Most of her challenges are song titles , hence the lovely Dean Martin one here.

My Green Eyed Cat

Posted by Picasa Here is my entry for Sunday Stampers 'Cats' and Make it Monday 'Eyes' challenges this week. The paws background I created in My Craft Studio and layered it onto a blue card. The main cat image from Inkadinkadoo was stamped in black Stazon, then masked and the Cracked Earth backgrounder stamp from Cornish Heritage was stamped over the top. I chalked the background with blue chalks then coloured the cat in grey, green and pink chalks and added green Sakura pen to the eyes to make them stand out. I added blue ribbons and a couple of photo corners. This lovely cat is just the image of my late cat Blue, which is why the surrounds are all blue.

Tilda Remembers

Posted by Picasa Yet another new stamp from Joanna arrived so I just had to use it didn't I? This is for TGIF 'Acetate', Sunday Stampers 'Words' and Papertake Weekly 'Elegant Embossing' challenges. The striped background paper was made using Starburst Stains and the scrunch technique and layered onto a blue pearl card.
I added some sticky ribbons and a piece of acetate which I ran through a Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked with pink ink. Tilda is stamped and coloured in Sakura pens and chalks with distressed edges. I added the acetate word with a gold brad.

Glittered Doll

Posted by Picasa Sorry, another Christmas card but just love this Winter Dancing Doll stamp and the challenge at Crazy Amigo this week was 'Dolls' so I had to use her. Stamped in black Stazon and coloured with Marvy Pens and glittered, her arms move with the gold brads so you can place them anywhere you wish. Mounted onto starry vellum she can also be my entry for Papertake Weekly 'Glitter' and Sunday Stampers 'Faces' challenges. Also, she is going as an early entry to Fab's Christmas challenge site too.

Variation on a Travel theme

Posted by Picasa Decided to make another train card for our Grandson's birthday on St. Georges Day so I can enter this one for Sunday Stampers 'Travel ' theme today.
As with the other train cards I stamped the trees background and rocks foreground and coloured with various inks then added the train tracks and deer (this is the wonderful view we have when we travel from the Highlands to England by train). I also added Harry and 4 as he will, obviously, be 4 very soon. The train is from the Men's decoupage set from Arts and Crafts Direct. I edged this with gold peeloffs and mounted onto a brown card.

Green Asian Gothic Arch

Posted by Picasa Three challenges in one here with 'Green' for Sunday Stampers, 'Asian' for Gothic Arches and 'Quotes' for Scrummy Stash Cafe. The background paper for the arch was created on white glossy card, using alcohol inks, bottle, lettuce, meadow and gold colours mixed together and pounced with the applicator. I then overstamped in green Stazon with various Oriental leaf and branch stamps. The butterfly and acetate cover are from a QVC kit attached with an Oriental coin and a green pearl brad. I added a Chinese quote on parchment torn and edged with green ink.

Party in your hat

Posted by Picasa Sunday Stampers challenge today was 'Party in your hat' so here is my sweet little girl in her one year old hat. The image is from Crafty Images Emporium on silver mirri card. I stamped the word party in pink and added various sticker embellishments. Unusual card for me to make as I don't 'do' children, as most of you already will know.

Oriental Lady

Posted by Picasa Here is a new Oriental card made for a forum friend's birthday which also fits Sunday Stampers 'Oriental' challenge. The main black glitter card was cut down and the lining, from a QVC set, added to the right hand side. All the stamps, from the Personal Impressions sets that we all had problems with, stamped and embossed in gold glitter embossing powder, then coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Mica powders (which I love). Matted on black card I decided to change the colours for the stamps to add some contrast. A birthday greeting finished it off.

Time Waits for no Man or Woman - Collage

Posted by Picasa Here is a 'Tick Tock' themed challenge at Sunday Stampers. The gold torn paper has lots of time sayings but smudged to make look distressed. The white glossy card has been stamped in brown Stazon, with a selection of time stamps from Stick 'n Stamp, then distressed and attached over the gold paper. I also added a couple of clock stickers, the gold word Time and corner stickers plus the pocket watch which is stamped onto brown paper and raised on foam tape.

Owls

Posted by Picasa Sorry, I know I have used this stamp before but it seems to be the only bird one I have and the challenge at Sunday Stamper this week is 'Birds'. The stamp is part of a Tapestry set stamped in brown Stazon with varied green leaves. I also edged the card with brown ink.
