One Snowy Morning

Posted by PicasaMy challenge this week is to use ACETATE (with a Christmas theme) on a card together with using a digi  image from ChiChi Memories..... they gave the DT some lovely ones to choose from.... the little person peeping in the window was my choice coloured with Copics. Printed her onto pearlescent paper and guess what the Copics do not bleed through at all.... what a find!!! She was decoupaged too.
The background was created in Craft Artist, the window frame with acetate from Creative Expressions and the acetate holly and star from Crafting Direct... Steph's company. These were moulded using a heat gun to get the dimension and shape.   Oh and the message from Hunkydory. So one Christmas card less to make later on.  Do pop over to my challenge blog and give the challenge a go... you could win some digi images too.

Pets

Posted by PicasaStampndoodle are one of my favourite digi image companies... they do some superb images and they are sponsoring my challenge this week... topic being Pets.
For my DT card this week I used Craft Artist to create the main beach scene..... adding some extra colour with Copics and Promarkers. Yes Craft Artist yet again to the rescue.
The two dogs are images from Stampndoodle kindly given to the DT to use for the challenge.  As soon as I saw them I knew I wanted them running on the sand.... strange really as there was a cat image and I am very much a cat person..... but these two just appealed to me today.  They are coloured again with Promarkers and decoupaged onto the scene.  The message reads 'Summer Breeze, Make me feel fine'....... part of a song - very appropriate for the scene I think.
I hope you will enjoy this weeks challenge... the thought of winning images from Stampndoodle would certainly make me enter.

A Stitch in Time

Posted by Picasa
This week my challenge, which is sponsored by ChiChi Memories is entitled 'A stitch in time'.  Now as most folks that know me know I don't do much stitching..... so why did I create this topic you ask???.... well lots of people do enjoy it so I made an effort and here is my DT card.
I created the main background in Craft Artist (I am enjoying playing with this cd program) and added the Mum and daughter from ChiChi.  They are coloured with Promarkers and decoupaged onto the main card.  The top two bows are also decoupaged.  I added lots of decoupaged and wooden parcels at the foot of the tree and added the sparkly 'just for you' chipboard button.
The red backing paper is created to look like pinking shears have been at it as is the green paper too.  I added the two wooden mittens which are stitched together using red and green glittery thread.... there you see stitching after all..... lol.
I hope you like my card... another off the list for later in the year.
Please do poop over and enter the challenge - you could win some lovely digi images.

'Lilac Wine"

The challenge this week over on my challenge blog is a song title 'Lilac Wine'.
This was a hit for Elkie Brooks many years ago and has always been a favourite of mine. I have seen her sing it live many times.
The card was created mainly using my Craft Artist cd with the addition of the epoxy sticker of the purple grapes and the epoxy quote sticker  'Wine is bottled poetry' by Robert Louis Sevenson.  I also added a lilac spotted ribbon to embellish the card.
I hope you like it and give the challenge a go this week....  a voucher from Joanna Sheen is up for grabs.

Happy St Patrick's Day ....

Posted by Picasaand Happy Birthday to me....... my challenge this week is to make something suitable for ST Patrick's Day so here is my DT creation.
This  time I decided to do a small scrapbook page..... using elements from my new Craft Artist programme and a photo of me, blurred and swirled in Picasa, and attached to the page. I just added the little moulded corner, from Crafty Notions,  which is painted with copper glitter paint.
Certainly something different for me.... pop over to my challenge blog and give the challenge a go yourself. And remember to have fun whatever you create.

Pay Spring Forward

Posted by PicasaHere are two for the price of one tags for Frankie's 'Pay Spring Forward' challenge this week. (How I hate that phrase 'pay it' as it does not make any sense to pay it forward.... I think it should be pass it forward he he).
I have just bought the new Craft Artist cd so was playing with the text buttons to see what can be done and this is the first result.  I like the varigated colours you can make it.... like the rainbow effect on MCS so I printed out the tag shapes with the word Spring (I did the other seasons as well - will come in handy I am sure) I then stamped some flowers and leaves and coloured with Copics before distressing the edges and backgrounds.  I added some Glitter glues and glitter sprays and attached some ribbon  with a staple or two.
Hope you like them my friend x

Caroline's Silhouette - Fairy on a Branch

Posted by PicasaJust having a play with my new downloaded Craft Artist cd programme to see how it works. My lovely friend Caroline sent me one of her new digi kits to play with so here is my first attempt with both.  The fairy, branch, circle and circle background are from Caroline and the main page background, flowers and sentiment are from Craft Artist. I have changed the colours of the images and layered them over the pink material background from Craft Artist.  Had I had more time I would have printed more flowers and cut them out and decoupaged them.
Yes I think I will like the full programme when I receive it.
I already have these lovely images from Caroline in rubber stamps but now have the added extra of the digi kit.... way to go Caroline.
Hope you all like them  - pop over to Carolines' shop and see the other kits she has just created - clever lady.
