Pink Rose

Last year Steph did some decorative painting at the Hilton (I was not there) and this year she put them onto an exclusive My Craft Studio disc for this year's class members. This wonderful pink rose was stacked onto a 8 x8 white card which was attached to another white card with pink and white ribbons. The pink edging strips were attached over the leafy background strips, then the whole front covered in acetate which was pushed up to make a kind of bubble. Not too visible on the scan of course but giving a lovely domed effect in real life. This is a great cd to add to my collection. This is also my entry for Arty Girlz 'Pink' challenge, my first challenge card for this week and for Caardvarks 'Pink' challenge too. Ooh La La challenge is 'Ribbons ' so I can use this one for that too.

Hot, Hot, Hot or Caliente

'Caliente' or 'Hot' was the topic from Caardvarks last Friday, so here is my hot, hot, hot effort. From a Michele Marsden kit the orange background card was torn and edged with orange inks and attached to the brown card. The images and the tag were raised and atached by a gold brad and the message strip added at the bottom. 'The inside reads hope you have a HOT birthday'.

Black, White and Pink

Black, white and pink was the challenge from Caardvarks this week. A very simply constructed gatefold card using black and white flowered card, black inside, and a black and white image both from my Kanban box. I have used pink chalks to colour the coat and a lighter pink for the skintones.

Enchanted Family Christmas Time

We had a very heavy hailstones storm this afternoon and it looked like 3 inches of snow, so decided to make a Christmas card for 4 x 4 Friday 'Families' challenge and also for Caardvarks 'Tree' challenge. This is a simple background and images from Enchanted Christmas cd by Joanna Sheen which I have pyramaged on silver mirri card and added a silver greeting and corner peeloffs. One less for December. This is one more for Fab's Christmas challenge too.

Do You Believe?

Do you believe in fairies? I do. The challenge for Mixed Media Monday is 'Believe' so here is my fairy card. Simply created with some holographic fairy paper, a black vellum butterfly and the word 'Believe'. Oh, I can also use this for Caardvarks 'Flight of Fancy' challenge.

Peach Delight

Here is one I made earlier that I thought would be just right for the Caardvarks 'Fruit and Veg' challenge. I love this peachy image from Joanna Sheen's cd and converted it into this picture using Kaleidescope Creator, then mounted it onto a yellow card. Peachy enough to eat.

Les Bicyclettes de --- Paris

I know, I know, it should be Versailles but hey what's between French towns and friends?? This is for Caardvarks 'Transport' theme and Theme Thursday 'Paris' challenge. The background and main images are from Michele Marsden and the bicycle is Joanna Sheen's coloured with Marvy and Stampin' Up pens.

Valentine

Here is my entry for the 'Valentine' challenge over at Caardvarks. The background red card is half covered with red mulberry paper, then I have stamped the postage stamp, key and love letters (distressed this as well with red inkpad) in red Stazon, coloured them in and attached them to the card. Skinny Saturday have also chosen this 'Love' topic for their challenges, but as I only need one Valentine for my husband I have combined all the challenges.

From the Heart

Two challenges covered here - TGIF 'Hearts' and DCM 'Red and White'. The background cream card is covered with more of that gorgeous material bought at NEC which is very flimsy and glittery. The white heart is simply cut and stamped with the message and edged in red Stazon. The large red heart was created using Alcohol inks with two smaller red Rubbadubbadoo stamped hearts embossed in white powder. Two additional red velvet hearts complete the look. I have added this to the Caardvarks 'Valentine' challenge too as I think it is appropriate.

Celestial Blue

'Blue' was the topic for Papertake Weekly and 'Celestial' the topic for Caardvarks, so I can combine the two challenges with this card. This is one of my favourite stamps stamped in black Stazon onto acetate then coloured with Sakura pens. It was then layered onto blue mulberry paper onto a Cuttlebug embossed piece of blue sparkly paper onto a blue card edged with silver peeloffs..

Rick Rack Santa

Here we have a triple whammy, made for my alcohol inks course, Caardvarks 'Rick Rack' challenge and 4 x 4 Friday 'Santa' challenge. The background was made using the swoosh technique with three alcohol inks, and the Santa was stamped on top in black Stazon. I added the silver peeloffs and the pink rick rack to the pink card for embellishment.

A True Friend Can Hear A Tear Drop

Here is my 'Friends' Gothic Arch for this week's challenge, but also I can use this for Wednesday Stamper 'Diamonds' challenge and Caardvarks 'Rubons' challenge as well. Wow - a triple whammy. The arch is cut from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion cd as is the main image, which I love, and is simply raised and layered onto cream card. The word friends is stamped and the other phrases are rubons.

Die Cut Santa

Here is my Die Cut Santa card made for the Caardvarks challenge. I matted and layered a silver card with silver and black sparkle card and added my Santa die cut. I added buttons and stars and the Merry Christmas message is a multi coloured peeloff. I am still in Christmas mood.
