AS YOU LIKE IT

Posted by PicasaHere is my DT card for this week's 'As You Like It' challenge over at Cute Daisy May. The background was coloured using Glimmer Mists then run through the Cuttlebug 'Divine Swirls' folder giving a distressed kind of look. I printed out the Daisy May image and embossed using silver embossing powder and coloured with coloured pencils and added some Stickles glitter glues. I then printed Daisy onto shrink plastic, coloured, shrunk and attached with silver thread underneath the acetate decoupaged flower. Do check out the Cute Daisy May challenge site to see some great DT cards and enter a card yourself. Have fun.

SUNNY SUNFLOWERS

Posted by PicasaBack at last from my hols and the lovely retreat with the Stamp Addicts girls. Here is the card I have used for my weekly challenge this week the topic being SUNFLOWERS. I actually made the card whilst on the retreat a couple of weeks ago. The flowers were stamped out onto white card and coloured then cut out and decoupaged onto the main cream card. I added some green swirls with the fabulous Flourish stamp (I use this a lot) and added the words and a few background dots for the finishing touch. Check out my Challenge blog if you would like to join in and have fun. All the products used can be purchased from Stamp Addicts.

ANIMAL PLAYTIME IN THE FOREST

Posted by Picasa Here is my DT entry for Cute Daisy May's 'Animals' challaenge. The cat, duck, cow, elephants and owl schoolmaster are all from Cute Daisy May downloads and the background scene is from Helping Hands 'Scenes to decorate' cd - also created by the very clever Linnie. I added to the scene stamps, deer, rabbits, love birds and owl together with a couple or four peel offs and two butterfly stickers. All the images are coloured with Promarkers and Spica glitter pens and all are raised on foam squares.
Do go check out the challenge site and enter - you don't have to use Daisy May designs - just make a cute animal card. You could win a blinkie and download of your choice. Have fun and don't forget to check out the DT cards too - all fabulous as usual.

CUTE DAISY MAY IN THE GARDEN

Posted by PicasaHere is my entry for Cute Daisy May DT challenge 'Circles' this week. The green holographic circles I found in my craft room - surprise - and I cut the DCWV flowered glitter card circle using my XCut circle cutter and mounted on to the holographic card. I printed out the garden bench from Jayne and Sara's 'Summer Stories' CD and mounted this over the circles. I added some highlights with Promarkers then attached varigated flower soft to the flowers and bush. The basket and watering can are from the cd too. I printed out Cute Daisy May with her dog and coloured again with Promarkers - yes I am hooked on them and mounted on foam sitting on the bench. Just another way Daisy May fits in with other products in our craft stash.
You can enter the weekly Daisy May challenges here and maybe win a download and a blinkie - you don't have to use Daisy May either any cutie will do.

A SWEET TREAT

Posted by Picasa Here is my card for my CUPCAKE challenge this week. They are very popular at the moment so thought I would join in with everyone in the hope that you may enjoy it. I cut the base template from brownish card and embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed stripes folder to make is look like a real cupcake. I then put the three coloured layers through different folders to emboss and covered with Cosmic Shimmer glitter glues. I cut out the cherry and stalk and added some sparkle here too. I just added a few peeloffs to embellish.
Enjoy the sweet treat and indulge yourselves for a change.

Pink and Green Daisy May

Posted by PicasaHere is my DT card for this week's challenge at Cute Daisy May 'Pink and Green'. The black coredinations card was run through the Cuttlebug then sanded to bring out the green. I added some patterned paper that I had stamped with Sheena Douglass swirls and embossed and tore the edges. I added a pink and white strip down the left hand side and mounted all onto the black card. I added lots of curled paper flowers from Debbi Moore Designs with central gems and the DCWV chipboard message Relax. Then for the fun part, I printed Daisy May onto shrink plastic, coloured her with Promarkers, cut her with fancy scissors and shrunk her - no pain was inflicted on her I promise lol.
I attached her to the centre of the card and hey ho she was done.
Do go over and check out Cute Daisy May challenge site for the chance to win a download of your choice together with a blinkie for your blog. Check out the great DT cards whilst you are there they are gorgeous. - their links are on my sidebar to make it easy for you. Enjoy the challenge.

CRAFT WORKSHOP MEDALLION CARD

Posted by Picasa Went to a craft demo last night at my local craft shop and it turned out to be a workshop instead. So I made this card using the new Medallion stamps, Archival inks, nesties, clear embossing and sparkly glitters. The papers are from Papermania - a lovely set of 200 for a ridiculously low price and really black and white, sometimes black paper is more dark grey but these were jet black. I ended up helping folks who had not stamped before but all in all had a good evening.

DIMENSION FOURTH PROJECT CLUB

Posted by Picasa Just thought I would show you the stamps I received today from the Dimension Fourth Monthly Project club. Also enclosed were A5 white card, A5 white embossed card, strip of pink card, A5 silver mirri and ribbon - all these to make up one project which is detailed on the sheet.
The sheet of stamps - one sheet that I have turned so you can see both ladies has the words Grace and Serenity as well as the two ladies and a border strip. Altogether very good value for £10 per month I think. I have never had any stamps that I could not use either and I have been a member for over 12 months. To be recommended. Check out their website for more information.

5-A-DAY

Posted by Picasa I thought as the weather has been nice and sunny we should all go healthy so my challenge today is 5-a-day with the number 5 somewhere on your work of art. The images are from Joanna Sheen's 'Victorian Companion' cd, the background being printed out with a shadow effect. The 5 bunches of cherries are attached and one decoupaged for some height and they are embellished with 'I can't believe they're not brads' which are very clever little paper dots. I added some ribbon and a few butterflies, leaves and flower acetate stickers and a gold number 5 peel off. Do pop over to my challenge site if you have not entered before and enjoy the cherries.

Let's Get Embossed

Posted by Picasa Here is my card for this week's Cute Daisy May challenge 'Let's Get Embossed'. I printed the image and embossed with black sparkle powder, coloured with Promarkers and glitter glues then attached to a couple of backgrounds made using inks direct to glossy card and cut the fancy corners with decorative scissors.
I embossed the turquoise mirri card with the 'Distressed Stripes' Cuttlebug folder and the black core-dinations card with 'Diamonds in the Rough' folder then sanded the black so the blue would show through. I tore the edges and matted onto the blue mirri and added the chipboard letters for the word FUN and sanded the edges. You too can have fun if you enter Daisy May's weekly challenges here and you could also win a download of your choice plus a blinkie. You do not have to use Daisy May images to enter just make something cute. Have fun and enjoy.
