Just for You

Posted by Picasa Here is another bird entry for DCM today. This is a simple atc edged with yellow rick rack braid and a corner peeloff.

Tweet Tweet

Posted by PicasaHere is a waterfall card I made earlier so thought I could use it for DCM 'Tweet Tweet' challenge today. The red Gothic Arch background is made from the Cuttlebug embossing script folder on to a green card edged with gold peel offs. The waterfall and message are from a Michele Marsden kit.

Purpleicious Snowman

Posted by Picasa A nice different challenge today at Theme Thursday the theme being “winter/snow in non-traditional colors”! Of course I had to do something in purple - as you all know by now, it is my favourite colour. This was made using 'My Craft Studio' yet again; you can tell I love this cd. A nice purple snowflake background with a purple greeting and purple scarf and nose on my wonderful snowman. I love him.

Dream

Posted by Picasa OK, now I reread properly the Wednesday Stamper challenge it was to use a favourite word on a card so here is my 'Dream' which is rather better than 'row'. Stamped onto acetate then coloured with Sakura pens and glittered using Art Institute glitters. The background was embossed with Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and placed over a piece of mauve mulberry paper onto a purple pearlescent card. Edged with silver peeloffs with the word 'Dream'.

'Row Your Boat'

Posted by PicasaToday's challenge at Wednesday Stamper was to create a project using 'Words' so here is my 'row' atc, a slight change from Christmas cards. I have used Art Impressions stamps to create the picture of the rowing boat, stuck amidst the rocks, and attached with a brad a small circle of card with the sticker word 'row'. Stamped in black Stazon on and coloured with Marvy pens using a watercolour technique.

Blue on Blue

Posted by PicasaOk, I found another challenge site Scrummy Stash Cafe and their challenge is 'All White - if you choose that colour' or all one colour. So here is my Winter Cottage made from Stampscapes and Art Impressions stamps, stamped in Blue over a blue inked and brayered background on glossy card.

A Chocolate Square

Posted by Picasa As with Gothic Arches challenge I really don't have anything sweet or chocolatey in my stamp collection so have had to improvise here for
Fluffy Fatbottomed Twisted Tuesday ' Sweets for the Sweet'challenge. But I can also use this one for Arty Girlz 'Squares' challenge too, so got a double here. I created this card again using 'My Craft Studio' cd from some images I found on my computer with some simple matting and layering and text. I am sure all crafters will agree with this statement.

Hang up your Stockings

Posted by PicasaMade one similar to this a wee while ago as one of my Christmas cards so thought I would make another one for the DCM midweek extra 'Hang up your Stockings' challenge today. The torn carol background paper was layered with vellum and edged with silver ribbon on a cream card. The fireplace was stamped, coloured with Marvy pens, Sakura pens and stickles glitter glues and cut out and raised on foam pads.

Three Kings

Posted by Picasa Today the challenge over at Papertake Weekly was 'Three Kings' or to use three images on your creation. I decided to stick with the 'Three Kings' and created this card using My Craft Studio cd again. Plain and simple, black on white, showing the stable, Baby Jesus, Three Kings, Shepherd and Shepherd boy and lamb with a star and Christmas greeting.

Hats Galore

Posted by Picasa Today the challenge over at TMTA is 'Headwear' so this should fit the bill, or the head I should say. An assortment of hats, ribbons and holographic card pieces make up this atc.

Heaven is Chocolate

Posted by Picasa The challenge over at Gothic Arches today is 'Chocolate' so here is mine. I really didn't have any stamps or paper with a chocolate theme so made my own using 'My Craft Studio' again and a photo of a box of chocolates. The image is from the same CD along with the text. The background card was made using Stardust Stains. This was actually made and given to me by Frankie at NEC, for me to use on a card. Thanks Frankie I love it.

Multi Tasking

Posted by PicasaHere is this week's challenge from Saturday Stamper . 'I think it really is a challenge……I’d like you to make one piece that will cover all of the following challenges……..themes only, no size restrictions, you can still make whatever you want, card, atc, skinny page, whatever you like, but you must incorporate ALL themes below……..good luck!!'
Gothic Arch Challenge……………….theme is………………”Friendship”
Mixed Media Monday………………..theme is………… “Buttons”
Fluffy Fatbottom’s Twisted Tuesday………..theme is…………..”Button Wisdom”
Wednesday Stamper………………..theme is………………..”Diamonds”
Theme Thursday…………………..theme is……………….”Chalk”
So here is my effort. Jensen Button and David Coulthard are friends on and off the racing track so I thought I could incorporate them into this card. The black diamond Gothic Arch background I made using 'My Craft Studio' cd, and overlayed the pictures of the guys, with the racing car. 'Right on the Button' and 'Friends off the track' takes care of Friendship and Button Wisdom. I added the stamped Cars and coloured it in red chalks and added a red button to the top of the arch. Wow, what a great challenge.

Song Without Words

Posted by Picasa Decided this was too small so posted a larger version for DCM, info listed below. Not sure why I thought of drinks for this challenge lol!!!

Song Without Words

Posted by Picasa This again was too small to get the full effect, so posted a larger version for DCM challenge 'Song Without Words'. You will surely know that this comes out every year at this time from my favourite singer. Have fun guessing.

Song WIthout Words

Posted by PicasaThe challenge today over at DCM is 'SongWithout Words'saying - 'We would like you to create a card inspired by a song or a carol - it could be for Christmas or not! (you may have got all your Christmas cards done by now...) BUT there is a twist. the words of the song are NOT to be seen on the front of the card. You could leave it to us to guess! Have fun!' So. here are my two, the top one a big hit years ago, (showing my age here) not for Christmas and the bottom one - well - those of you who know my favourite singer will surely know that this comes out every year at this time. The first one is an atc, red glitter card matted on black with cut outs for the theme. The second is made using My Craft Studio cd again, simply background and cut outs for the theme.
Hope you have fun guessing the titles. If you make a comment please tell me what you think they are.

Baubles, Bells, Bows and Fibres

Posted by PicasaThis card covers two challenges, DCM Santa's Little Helper of 'Baubles, Bows and Bells' and Arty Girlz 'Ribbons and Fibres'. The main bauble from Dimension Fourth was stamped on a white peice of card and the middle cut out with a craft knife, and the small SeeDs bows and bells were also stamped in blue Stazon. They were all coloured using Sakura pens, then a piece of snowflake acetate placed over the top. The white fibre bow at the top is secured with a brad using the Crop-a-dile (what a fab little machine). The white card is then layered onto a pink coordinating card trimmed with my Purple Cow cutting machine.

African Safari

Posted by PicasaMagickdiva's challenge last week was Animals so here is my African Safari, ATC. I double exposed the giraffe and zebra and printed them out, matted and layered on black and gold card, then added peel off waste for the gold grass. The other half of the atc uses velvet animal paper with peeloff letters and sun. The two are attached with a gold brad.

A True Friend Can Hear A Tear Drop

Posted by Picasa Here is my 'Friends' Gothic Arch for this week's challenge, but also I can use this for Wednesday Stamper 'Diamonds' challenge and Caardvarks 'Rubons' challenge as well. Wow - a triple whammy. The arch is cut from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion cd as is the main image, which I love, and is simply raised and layered onto cream card. The word friends is stamped and the other phrases are rubons.

Chalked Christmas Card

Posted by Picasa Made this a wee while ago but think it should be just right for today's
Theme Thursday challenge 'Chalks'. I hand made the background paper on the computer then stamped various messages and used the torn paper technique to attach them. I chalked over all the stamped images and added a couple of stickers to embellish. A little different design for me but hopefully effective.

Fishing Boats in Suffolk

Posted by Picasa This is the second painting done over the weekend. It is the most difficult painting Charles has given a class to do - as you can see I found it difficult to paint the straight lines. But I have never painted a boat before so at least I did try. I promise there are three birds in the picture, just some of it missing as too big for the scanner. I know better than to paint an even number.

Winter Trees

Posted by Picasa Here is my Winter Tree scene which I painted last weekend on my watercolour course with Charles Evans. Some of it is cut off as it is actually too big for the scanner.

Snowman with Buttons

Posted by PicasaA Snowman with buttons made for Fluffy Fatbottomed Twisted Tuesday challenge 'Buttons'. Simple matting and layering on a silver mirri card with a die cut snowman and added buttons, message and star peeloffs.

Winter Cottage

Posted by PicasaThe challenge over at TMTA was 'Houses' so here is my winter cottage hidden in the hills, enlarged slightly so you can see the detail. The glossy card was brayered in blue inks then stamped using Stampscapes stamps in dark blue Stazon. Just realized I can use this for Saturday Stampers 'Tone on Tone' as well so get a two in one.

Christmas Tree

Posted by Picasa This is one I made earlier using the 'My Craft Studio' CD, so thought I could use it for the Papertake Weekly 'Christmas Trees' challenge. The design is my own created using this new CD, and I created the santa backing paper and added the tree, tag and parcels and entered the Merry Christmas inside the tag. A little different this one.
