Working with triangles seems to be the 'in thing' today as the challenge from Theme Thursday is also 'Triangle Art'. So I used the same larger images as I did for the atcs yesterday and added these to the script backing paper and some silver corrugated card and mirri card, together with one of the atcs to make this card. I have to thank Joanna Sheen yet again for her stunning images.
The challenge from Skinny Saturday was 'Friendship' and I think these words - sharing, lasting and trust all add up to a good friend. The background was created using alcohol inks swirled over the glossy card. Then stamped in purple Stazon image, is 'Woman in Repose' again and the charm is one of the ones on my earlier post tonight, made from stampboard stamped and glittered. The picture on the locket on the charm looks like Mother and Child who are hopefully good friends. I just added a nice purple flower too.
Wednesday Stamper's challenge this week was to make 'Charms' using stamps. So here are mine made from stampboard using Stamp Addicts 'Flourish' stamp and Stampin Up 'Nostalgia' stamps. The boards were coloured with Colourbox inks first then stamped using purple Stazon. Sections were then highlighted and glittered using Art Institute Glitters. The holes were made with my lovely purple Crop-a-dile and threaded with the pink and silver twisted thread. I added eyelets on two of the charms too.
A different challenge here as TMTA decided to give us 'Geometry' for our topic this week. Not my favourite subject at all. I decided to go with the triangular look, so used the pyramids from Joanna Sheen's Egyptian Adventure CD together with the script backing paper. I just added ribbon, bow and rubons to finish them off.
I have covered three challenges here Scrummy Stash Cafe 'Ribbons', Papertake Weekly 'Hearts Desire' and Arty Girlz 'Pockets'. The red and white heart paper is simply torn onto a cream landscape, for a change, hammered card. I added a silver flower foiled square then placed the plastic pocket on top. In the pocket is a red velvet heart with a red ribbon bow. The finishing touches were the red roses and gold and red ribbon bow and the silver peeloff message.
Here is my entry for Mixed Media Monday 'House' challenge. The house in the woods and all the other stamps are from Stampscapes and Art Impressions, stamped in black Stazon and water coloured with metallic rubons, Marvy pens and watercolour pens. I just love these scenic stamps.
I am so not a dog person; as everyone who knows me will tell you I am the ultimate cat fan, so this 'Dogs' challenge from Gothic Arches was difficult for me. I managed to find these little sweet spaniels and decoupaged them, placing them in their white corrugated kennel, wishing for a bone. The bone is my foiled effort for DCM this week. They are very vain little dogs as they have a mirror in their kennel too, but they still left dirty (stamped) footprints everywhere!
The card I share with you today is a nice bright and cheerful peachy looking one which makes me think of summer - a long way off I know. The image is from a Joanna Sheen CD converted into this pattern using the Kaleidescope Creator programme. It is sitting on a bright yellow card. This is my entry for the 4 x 4 Friday 'Open' challenge. 
Here is another of my favourite stamps, the Moonchild, stamped in black Stazon onto acetate and coloured with glitter and Stickles then placed onto the purple celestial background to which I have added the Dream gold epoxy sticker. I do love this 'Celestial' theme that is the challenge from Theme Thursday.
Here is my very late entry for Theme Thursday 'Stamped Backgrounds' challenge. Stamped in Black Stazon onto white card with the additions of some clear crystal glaze, a feather and some ribbon these are two of my favourite stamps from Stamp Addicts, as most of you already know.
Here are four Inchies that I made at Christmas. I do not like doing them and I don't like these at all, but I did keep them, as I find them too fiddly but at least I can enter them for the Created By Hand 'Inchies' challenge today. They were stamped and coloured in with watercolours, then put together to make a larger square. Sorry they are back to Christmas ladies.
'Blue' was the topic for Papertake Weekly and 'Celestial' the topic for Caardvarks, so I can combine the two challenges with this card. This is one of my favourite stamps stamped in black Stazon onto acetate then coloured with Sakura pens. It was then layered onto blue mulberry paper onto a Cuttlebug embossed piece of blue sparkly paper onto a blue card edged with silver peeloffs..
Here is my light blue Church in the Winter Mist created using smudged Black Stazon to get a misty look, with Stampscapes stamps onto a light blue card. It is my entry for TMTA 'Winter' challenge.
Here are a couple of atc's made for Arty Girlz 'Animals' challenge. They are made using Robert Adams 'Medieval' CD, which I think is a superb piece of kit for men's cards. They are simply printed out and decoupaged onto the coordinating background papers.
I just love this Fairy Sweet Pea stamp from Joanna Sheen and thought it would make a good entry for this week's 4 x 4 Friday challenge. It is simply stamped onto white card and coloured with Sakura pens with an added Birthday Wishes message.
Here is my Pierrot card for this weeks Skinny Saturday challenge. The images are from a Joanna Sheen cd made into a pyramage card by cutting different size layers and layering them onto silver mirri card. This then placed onto the coordinating background paper on a blue pearlised card edged with silver peeloffs and the message.
'Distress Inks 'was the topic today over at Created By Hand. I don't often use mine, but here is one I just made using Ranger Old Paper brown ink together with a little green onto white glossy card. I overstamped with the Stamp Addicts Flourish stamp in brown Stazon, then matted onto gold mirri over Joanna's Paisley torn ink edged paper onto a cream pearlized card. The main image was stamped in brown Stazon and coloured with chalks to match the Paisley colours, and I added the rubon and peel off sentiments.
Yes, everyone must be in a red mood just now, thought we got January blues - but there we go. This is for Arty Girlz 'Red' challenge. The black card was stamped with English Stamp Company stamps and embossed with Red Dragon embossing powder and corner rounded. The red card stamped and embossed with the Personal Impressions background stamp and edged with gold peeloffs. The kimono skicker is on black card and a butterfly, shoes and fan complete the picture.
Step Outside Your Box Saturday offered a challenge to use 'Magazine Art' in our card making, so here is my effort. However I thought this card could also apply to the Mixed Media Monday 'Whimsey' challenge as I think the little Russian doll looks whimsical. The magazine was advertising the fact that purple is the in colour at the moment, however, it is always in with me, as most of you know already it is my favourite colour. The table, lamp, vase and doll were all cut from the magazine and I attached them over an alcohol inks background made up of Cranberry, Wild Plum and Silver inks. The purple flowers my husband bought me for Christmas and I added a purple and silver brad in the centre. The left hand side is edged with a purple sticky ribbon together with the title strip and I added a piece of raffia type paper at the bottom.
I made this a couple of days ago for a Monochromatic (shades of the same colour - not black and white as many people think) card swap and have used shades of red for a change. As my card is now in the mail I can safely post this on here. The Oriental tree from English Stamp Company, was stamped and embossed using red sparkle embossing powder and some of the flowers are also coloured with red Sakura glitter pens. I added the coin and words sticker embellishments, and the same tree made out of shrink plastic, and matted onto gold mirri card with a red and gold butterfly in the corner. The insert is also red and Oriental.
Whilst living in Bermuda my husband and I were members of an Amateur Theatrical Group. One of the presentations we gave was a Tarot Reading for a large Insurance Company. My friend Carol and I could actually read the cards (most of the cast just acted - Geoff included), so I incorporated a collaged picture of the two of us sitting at the table with the cards in the Hamilton Princess Hotel (I'm the one at the back with glasses). The background I made from my own set of Tarot cards and put the arch together using My Craft Studio CD for Gothic Arches 'Gypsy' challenge today. Looking at this photo really takes me back in time. This card will also fit the 'Photo' challenge from Thank God It's Friday.
So here is the second card made with the same items but arranged in a different way for the DCM 'Me and My Shadow' Challenge. The main difference is that everything is attached with brads, no glue at all on here, as this is also for a Glueless card swap. Also, this one is embossed with clear embossing powder.
Here is 'Mr Piano Man' number one and the card above, the shadow, is number 2.
Well, here is a totally new method of stamping for me using stampboard. I coloured the stampboard first with three colours of pearlescent acrylic paint mixed together (orange, yellow and gold) then stamped the water lily from English Stamp Company in black Stazon. I then glittered with Pee Wee glitters and edged the stamp outline with my favourite Sakura pens. This was then mounted on black card to look like a frame and layered onto the flowered Oriental paper edged with gold peeloffs. I stamped the words and the lilies on the orange card and highlighted with the glitter pens. The message and corner peeloffs finished it off. This should do for Papertake Weekly challenge 'Thanks A Bunch', Created By Hand 'Frames' challenge and Step Outside Your Box 'Acrylic Paints' challenge.
