Look carefully and you will see it is snowing

My challenge this week is to 'Stamp It' - but is also sponsored by ChiChi Memories who gave some digis to the DT.  The window is the image I chose.... printed out and coloured with Copics, then I added some snowfall acetate from HunkyDory to the inside and mounted it over the stamped image of the cottage by the green.  This stamp from a Sheena Douglass set.

March Hare meets Mad Hatter at The Tea Party

Here is my entry for Dragon's Dream challenge Mad March days and also my first enty to Your Special Delivery 50/50 challenge blog using the cute Mad Hatter digi image from LLDI.
I stamped the large chipboard piece with the March Hare stamp from Sheena Douglass and the tea cups and tea pot from See D's using Black Archival ink. They were coloured with Copics and Promarkers then oversprayed with silver glitter spray from Crafter's Companion. I coloured the Mad Hatter with the same pens and oversprayed again.
For the heart tag I typed the words using Word Art printed them out attached to the heart and overprayed yet again with silver glitter.  The two tags are attached with red velvet ribbon.

CHRISTMAS CARD WITH STITCHING

Here is my entry for Bah Humbug's Stitching/Faux Stitching challenge this week.  I edged the card using the Cuttlebug stitches embossing border folder then stamped and embosssed in silver holographic using Sheena and Dimension Fourth swirl stamps. The little chipboard bauble (also with faux stiches)  from Brenda Pinnick, was attached with two red brads and some red velvet ribbon.  The Christmas chipboard is from the same set and I just added a Merry Christmas peel off and a green velvet tree for decoration. Hope you like it ladies. One more off the list.

A Proud Highland Stag

This is the fourth project from the workshop created in exactly the same way as the previous card - only this time I added much more gold glitter which of course is not too visible on the scan.  I added a few white highlights for shading too.

Bambrugh Castle

 Here is another of the projects made on Sheena's workshop on Sunday.
Very different this one as we used furniture polish!!! yes really.
The image was stamped and embossed on heat resistant acetate then the back covered in the clear furniture polish.  (this technique can be done using  other sticky products but furniture polish is sooo much cheaper) We then added splodges of mica polished pigments - and I really mean splodges  no order whatsoever and I added a little glitter too, then placed a tissue over the top.  When dry the polish had allowed the tissue to attach itself in a nice crumpled way giving this effect. After adding a few white highlights with a white opaque pen it was then simply mounted on gold mirri card on a black card. Hope you like it. Sadly we don't have this clear polish up here so I will have to get some when down in England over the holidays.

Second workshop project

A nice messy work of art here. The background is actually on a white card swirled with Distress inks then overstamped with water on the stamps to remove colour instead of add it. The trees were then overstamped with Black Archival inks over the top of the faded image and highlighted with white pen and Cosmic Shimmer glitter glues. The moon was created in the same way and again highlighted with white and sparkles. The whole background was then sprayed with water adding droplets then removing with a soft towel to get the snowy effects. The swirl was stamped and embossed with silver then the edges rubbed with Black Soot Distress ink to create the vingette look. This still needs matting and layering to make a complete card. I love the effects created this way.

Notebook Cover

Here is my first creation from Sheena's workshop yesterday which is actually a notebook cover.

Stamped with Sheena's Christmas stamps using Distress inks and some Stickles glitter glues this is a simple way to give a nice little gift to someone without spending too much cash. A little bit of scenemaking happened here too.

Daisy May Thank You card

The challenge this week over at Daisy May is to make a 'Thank You' card so here is mine. I have stamped the pub image from Sheena Douglass together with the pub thank you sign and coloured using various pens and inks and added a tree stamp from Hobby Art in the left hand corner. I printed out Daisy May onto shrink plastic, coloured her with Sakura pens and added her to the picture - I felt the tree stamp matched with the tree on the Daisy May image nicely. Fat book pages

For this page I chose some yellow chipboard from DCWV and over stamped with the splatter stamp and some swirls and corner stamps using purple inks. I added the chipboard flower which was triple embossed after colouring with inks. The little embellishment, from some kit or other and an added purple ribbon bow.

TAKE HEART - all will be well in the end.

Here is my take on Frankie's 'Pink, Swirly and Dotty' challenge over at Dragon's Dream Tag challenge. I stamped the lady's face, from Stik n Stamp onto white glossy card, then masked her and stamped around in various pinks using Stamp Addicts dots, Sheena's swirls and Personal Impressions flower and sentiment stamps. I attached, with a pink and silver cord, a piece of stampboard stamped in purple and coloured with pink inks and glitters. The whole card was then sprayed with Gold glitter spray from Crafter's Companion. The card and stampboard are both edged with gold Krylon pen. A lovely challenge my friend.

GREEN, DOTTY AND SWIRLY SKETCH

Here is my DT card for this week's sketch challenge over at Cute Daisy May.

I am not very good with sketches so hope this will be ok. The main image was printed onto canvas and coloured with Promarkers. I added some swirly stamps from Sheena, flowers from Debbie Moore, gem centres from my stash, dotty glitter card from DCWV all mounted onto gold glitter card 8 inches square, with Daisy May mounted onto a green pearlescent opening card.

Hope my friend like this one even though it is an early Christmas card tag lol.

Pink and Green Daisy May

Here is my DT card for this week's challenge at Cute Daisy May 'Pink and Green'. The black coredinations card was run through the Cuttlebug then sanded to bring out the green. I added some patterned paper that I had stamped with Sheena Douglass swirls and embossed and tore the edges. I added a pink and white strip down the left hand side and mounted all onto the black card. I added lots of curled paper flowers from Debbi Moore Designs with central gems and the DCWV chipboard message Relax. Then for the fun part, I printed Daisy May onto shrink plastic, coloured her with Promarkers, cut her with fancy scissors and shrunk her - no pain was inflicted on her I promise lol.

I attached her to the centre of the card and hey ho she was done.

SWIRLS AND FLOWERS

Here is a card made for absolutely no reason at all. The other night I was playing with my new LLB Retro Rose stamps and stamped the hibiscus onto the back of some ordinary card (glossy on the front but it was marked so used the back - remember I was just playing). I coloured the flowers using Promarkers pastel shades and cut them out whilst watching tv. I then added some Cosmic shimmer glitter glues and liked the effect. So off I went and stamped more and did the same. Then I took a simple black card and stamped with Versamark using Sheena's swirly stamps then dusted with Cosmic shimmer powders. I fiddled around with the flowers to get a nice placement and hey ho this is what I ended up with.

I would like to keep it but I think it is going to my local craft shop for display as they sell everything I have used. Hope you like it as much as I do, though the shimmer never comes out as well as in real life on the scan.

BLACK AND WHITE WITH A SILHOUETTE

Sadly this does not show up well on the scan though in real life is really glittery due to the Crafter' s Companion silver glitter spray that I used over the completed card. I used Sheena's swirly stamps for the background and embossed them with black embossing powder. I added the two silhouettes, printed on acetate, from Debbi Moore's cd and attached with brads and ribbons. I added the two feathers to embellish.

Faces Fatbooks

I love this stamp as there are four faces all different. I stamped onto pink card then cut into squares. The background was created using a brayer over textured card using different coloured inks. I then attached the faces on foam pads and overstamped and embossed with Sheena's swirls and Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder then added a few clear gemstones.

TIME AND TIDE TAG

Here is a very large tag (could be a bookmark) made to cover three challenges tonight.

Sunday Stamper's challenge is 'Time', Frankie's Tag challenge is 'Time and Tide and Wednesday Stamper topic is 'Orange' so this fits all three.

I stamped the various images from Sheena Douglass and Stampscapes in black Archival ink then played with my wonderful new blending tool from Tim Holtz to colour with lots of inks, mainly oranges with a touch of blue for the tide.

I added the orange ribbon and oversprayed with gold glitter spray from Crafter's Companion.

BALLOONS

Here is a card I made for a Turquoise, Lemon and Pink swap and also for my Balloons challenge this week. I used some torn lemon paper over turquoise for the base and sky then overstamped using a Lavinia stamp (new from NEC) and a few grasses from Sheena. The main balloon stamp from Inca stamps was stamped and coloured with pink and green Lyras then cut out and glitter glue added for the sparkle effect. Mounted on bright pink mirri card onto a pink pearlised card. I stamped some butterflies in teal Stazon and again added glitter glue. I also added a trail of stars from Crafters Companion in teal with glitters. A little turquoise rick rack ribbon to finish off. I hope my friend likes it.

Regency Card

Last week the lovely Sheena Douglass was on Ideal World - I sent her an email and here is the wonderful card she made on air which I just received today. The card is signed by Sheena and Nigel. What a gorgeous set of stamps are these, I can't wait for mine to arrive.

Six in One Tonight

Last year I managed to do six challenges at the same time and I have managed to equal my own record again tonight. Lots To Do challenge was 'Metal', My Time To Craft was 'Gold', Arty Girlz was 'Flowers',

Created By Hand was 'Gold', Tanda Teaser was 'Hearts and Flowers' and Wednesday Stamper was to use 'Hearts in a Different Way'.

I stamped various floral and swirl images onto white glossy card, floral from Sheena and Swirls from Dimension Fourth and the magazine freebie last week.

I then covered the card with Caramel and Butterscotch Alcohol inks swirling and swooshing on the card. Next, I punched out some gold metal hearts and attached them over the flowers and added a gold gem in the centre. I then edged the corners and embossed a few lines and added some copper pen touch to some of the swirls. Whew that was a job. I could have made it 7 in one as Joanna's challenge this week was also 'hearts' but I had already posted a card for that so thought it would be cheating to count this one in as well lol
