Get well soon Nicola

Posted by Picasa My dear friend Nicola has had an operation and will be out of action for around six weeks and needs to RELAX - hence the sentiment on this card. The topper is one I created for my DT entry for Cute Daisy May - a little shrinkie Daisy May amongst the Cuttlebugged coredinations swirls and the Debbi Moore flowers. The sentiment is from DCWV I think. Get well soon my friend and do as the docs have ordered and relax. xx I am also entering this for
Crazy Amigo 'Free' theme this week.

Four Pretty Faces

Posted by Picasa Two challenges covered with this card tonight, they are Crazy Amigo 'Faces' and Lots to Do Sunday 'Eyes'. I created the background using glues and different coloured peices of foil all mingled together to give a nice raised effect. Then I overstamped the four faces using black Stazon, the stamp from Magenta. Very simple but I hope effective. Step Outside Your Box has 'Eyes' as the theme this week too.

A Colourful Mardi Gras Postcard

Posted by PicasaOOh I love this 'Mardi Gras' theme from Sunday Postcard Art, the 'Bright Colour' theme from Crazy Amigo and the 'Shiny' theme from Wednesday Stamper. First I stamped onto glossy card using Teal Stazon with another mask stamp, this time from Dimension Fourth. I cut out the eyes and added two gold shiny cuttlebugged eyes for the top mask and straight gold shiny eyes for the bottom mask. Then the fun started. I dabbed pink and blue inks all over the card with a sponge, not cut and dry as this would have made it too smooth, then I sprayed with Delphinium and Fireburst Blue from Crafty Notions Colour Sprays. I left it overnight to dry not really knowing what colours it would end up but I love it now. I dabbed the same blue inks onto the stampboard, edged with gold pentouch and overstamped with a small mask stamp from Stamp Addicts. This was then covered with Crackle Glaze and again left and here is the final result.

Postage Art Valentine

Posted by Picasa As my husband will not be home for Valentines and I have to post his card, I thought the Postage Art challenge at Crazy Amigo's would be just the thing.
I covered the white card with red and white hearted hand made paper. I stamped the words, key and postal stamp, from Rubbadubbadoo, in red, fancy cut the edges, stippled a little colour around and added Sakura pen to the key. I then added a couple of peel offs and a red heart for embellishment. This card also fits for Joanna Sheen's 'Hearts' challenge.

Browns and Blues and Teddy Bears

Posted by Picasa 'Browns and Blues' for Crazy Amigo this week. The stamps are Ladybug and Friends - I won them in a blog candy - stamped and watercoloured with Lyra crayons and mounted onto gold metal. The torn background papers are from Joanna Sheen and DCWV- again some won in a blog candy drawing. Sentiment from Hero Arts. Today Lots to do Sunday have asked for 'Teddy Bears' so this fits nicely.

Oriental Waterfall

Posted by PicasaMade using My Craft Studio Oriental CD this is just right for the Crazy Amigo 'Asian' challenge. I printed out the background and all the images, constructed the waterfall and decoupaged the lady, then added a gold tassel and a few gold peeloffs.

Happy Birthday

Posted by Picasa A fairly simple 'Birthday card' for Crazy Amigo challenge this week. The pink and silver backgrounds were Cuttlebug embossed then the butterfly attached and sprinkled and covered with mini beads. A message and a few beads on elastic complete the card.

Happy Birdday

Posted by Picasa My challenge this week over at http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ is Birds and is also the challenge from Crazy Amigo so I made my card for both. The background is Cuttlebug embossed, chalked and cut with fancy scissors and layered onto a yellow card. The birds were stamped, layered on foam and also coloured with chalks. I love the sentiment Happy Birdday - stamps from Glenda.

Sympathetic Passion Flowers

Posted by Picasa My first use of Joanna's new Floral Fantasy cd is for two sympathy cards for my friends Jeanette and Liz who lost their father on Tuesday night. I thought this flower would just be right for the job so layered the toppers onto the two different background papers and added corners, ribbons and the message. I can also enter this for the Crazy Amigo challenge on 'Flowers' and also Arty Girlz 'Open' theme.

Glittered Doll

Posted by Picasa Sorry, another Christmas card but just love this Winter Dancing Doll stamp and the challenge at Crazy Amigo this week was 'Dolls' so I had to use her. Stamped in black Stazon and coloured with Marvy Pens and glittered, her arms move with the gold brads so you can place them anywhere you wish. Mounted onto starry vellum she can also be my entry for Papertake Weekly 'Glitter' and Sunday Stampers 'Faces' challenges. Also, she is going as an early entry to Fab's Christmas challenge site too.

Watching the Birds

Posted by Picasa Here is a new stampboard creation made for Crazy Amigo 'Newest Additions' challenge, which was to make something with your latest acquisition. I received these stamps this morning in the mail and could not wait to have a go with them. They are from Caroline's Rubber Stamps die sheets - there are at least 20 stamps on one sheet and I love them as they will mix and match with Stampscapes and Art Impressions stamps. I stamped the wall and flower edges onto my new oval stampboard in black Stazon then added the cat and bird. I also scratched a little off the edges and coloured them with gold pen. Coloured with various inks using sponges I then triple embossed with clear sparkle powder, leaving them slightly bubbly to give the mottled effect. (Not very clear on the scan I am afraid). Finally mounted with purple ribbon onto purple card then onto a pale blue pearlized card.

Ideal World TV Samples

Posted by Picasa I made this as a TV sample for today's Ideal World live show but thought I would enter it into Crazy Amigo's 'Free' challenge as well. The decoupaged speedway riders, from Arts and Crafts Direct, are racing round a chalked track and inside are two tickets to the speedway as the birthday gift. A good card for a man who likes speedway.

OUTSIDE AND INSIDE OF TV SAMPLE MALE DECOUPAGE

Posted by Picasa This is another TV sample made for Ideal World and Arts and Crafts Direct, under the Male decoupage section but I thought I would enter this for the
Crazy Amigo 'Free' challenge as well. I tried to create a speedway scene with various riders large and small decoupaged onto a chalked track background. I added the voucher inside to represent the tickets to the speedway races for the birthday gift. Nice to make a male card for a change.

Autumn Beauty

Posted by Picasa Well, guess what - I have found yet another challenge blog. Over at
Crazy Amigo the theme is 'Beauty' so I just had to enter this card. I think Autumn is the most beautiful time of year hence the title of this card. It was created using Stampscapes and Art Impressions stamps and coloured with metallic rubons and Marvy pens and Twinkling H2Os.
