Summer Respite

Posted by PicasaLayers of Colour challenge last week was 'Summer Respite' so here is my contribution. The background I created using sprayed Glimmer Mists then overstamped with various Elusive Images and Art Impressions stamps. I added the inked sun and a few birds then added glitter highlights with Sakura pens. All the glitter does not show too well on the scan - sorry. This is also my entry for Wednesday Stamper 'Hello Sunshine' challenge.

By the Sea

Posted by Picasa Layers of Colour challenge this week was to 'Celebrate the Sea' so here is my entry. Stamped onto a Gothic Arch with various scenic stamps and coloured with chalks - a very easy card to make.

What is Inside the House?

Posted by Picasa I have tried to cover a few challenges here with this card in order to catch up from my holidays. DCM asked for a 'Different shaped card', 4 x 4 Friday 'Architecture', Dans Ma Maison was 'Metal', Layers of Colours wanted an 'Opening' and Sunday Stampers theme was 'Dogs'. Wow 5 challenges there. First, I stamped out the house and chimney onto copper pearl paper using the cracked Earth stamp from Cornish Heritage, cut out the door and windows and added to the 4 x 4 cream card which I cut to the shape of the house. I chalked the curtains and wallpaper and added window frames. I created the roof using gold metal run through the Cuttlebug and cut out the eaves for added dimension. I opened the door and added a little cat and dog waiting patiently for their owner to come inside.
