I've been Tagged

Posted by Picasa Well, here is a different type of tagging. My lovely friend Beryl tagged me - to choose the 6th folder in My Pictures and the 6th photo and explain it!
So, this is my lovely Art Teacher Charlie Evans, taken at his house in Northumberland. I was on one of his watercolour courses and as always the weather was superb and we sat outside for lunch, tea and coffee breaks.
This being one of them.
Is he gorgeous or what???
Now for 6 other people to tag - I choose in no particular order

Musical Valentine

Posted by PicasaDCM challenge this week was 'Heart' so here is my musical hearted valentine. The card was from my Kanban box folded into a gatefold. I stamped the heart from Stamps Happen, onto white card the coloured in with various pencils and direct ink to paper for the background. Edged with a corner rounder I mounted it onto peach coloured card also with rounded corners. The message reads 'the magic of music warms the heart and soothes the soul' by D Morgan.

Skating in the Moonlight

Posted by PicasaHere is my entry for this week's Gothic Arches 'Winter Sports' challenge. The background was created using various shades of blue Glimmer Mists then overstamped with the skates, tree, clouds, moon and star - all in Midnight blue Stazon - stamps from Dimension Fourth. I added colour using Sakura pens and some watered down ink from various ink pads and painted on using a waterbrush. I then added clear Glaze Drops and Glossy Accents for the ice, then dropped on some pale blue sparkles using Stickles glitter glues.

Gypsy Ladies

Posted by Picasa The theme for Gothic Arches last Sunday was 'Gypsies' so here are my three dancing gypsies and this also fits Sunday Stampers 'Blue' challenge today. The background was created using Glimmer Mists in various colours, then overstamped three times with the gypsy from Cornish Heritage Farms, in of course, black Stazon.. The message reads 'If you can Dream it you can Do it' from Elusive Images. I added a couple of gold peel offs and a gold tassel attached with a gold brad for embellishment.

Cute Sheep

Posted by Picasa The challenge this week from Cute Card Thursday was to 'Create a Scene' so here is mine. First, I brayered the background on glossy card, using the Big and Juicy Waterfall ink pad then stamped the various images from Sheena Douglass, and the cute sheep, from Hobby Art, in black Stazon. I used a corner edger for some added interest in the top left of the card.

Transparent Bodice

Posted by Picasa I thought I had better make a card for my own 'Peel Offs' challenge this week, set by Hazel, but this one also fits with Arty Girlz 'Transparent' challenge set by Fabrizio.
I used some black core-dinations card and ran it through the Cuttlebug then sanded it down to get the pink to show through. I also tore the edges then mounted onto a black gate fold card. I added the silver transparent bodice peel off onto pink flowered card (not easy to see on the scan) and added pink gems, together with shoe and bag silver peel offs. I edged the card with pink glittered ribbon. I hope you like it Fab.

Sympathy Card

Posted by Picasa A sad way to start a new year as my husband's nephew died suddenly on New Year's Day. Also yesterday my friend's partner's Mum died so I have had to make two sympathy cards to start the year off. Using Joanna's Heavenly Cards cd I simply printed the background card then added the lovely topper. No more needed I didn't think.

Green and Black Puss

Posted by Picasa Here is the card I made for my own challenge site this week. Onto some pale green flowered paper I layered some torn Black magic card which I ran through the Cuttlebug then sanded to get the green effects showing through the black. I love this card. I ran the green side of the card through a border folder and added the black cat from an old calendar. Green rick rack ribbon finished it off.
