Something to Wear

Posted by PicasaA Just Bex challenge for today was 'Something to Wear' so I made the card with Joanna Sheen backing paper and silver peeloffs. I made the kimono from another backing paper and decorated it with peeloffs. Additional embellishments are shoes, flowers, fan and coin silver peeloffs.

Flower Fairies

Posted by Picasa'Blooming gorgeous' was the topic for another Just Bex challenge. The background I think, is gorgeous, flower fairy vellum, very misty. The die cut frame has another flower fairy inside.

Die Cut Decoupage Santa

Posted by PicasaHere is a Die Cut Decoupage santa made for another Just Bex challenge. The background is done with Cuttlebug embossing folder and the die cuts are from a Dutch Christmas die cut book. Yes three challenges, I am on a roll today, must have some lunch now.

Beaded Butterfly

Posted by PicasaThis very simple but striking card was made for the Daring Cardmakers 'Beady Eyed' challenge. The pink background was embossed using Divine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder on pink and silver mirri card. The butterfly was stamped and covered with silver micro beads and the happy birthday tag attached. I added a small string of pink and silver beads to the edge.

'Hats off to You'

Posted by PicasaThe Wednesday Stamper challenge this week was Hats. The image is from a free download site from Mardar's Stuff. I have decoupaged the lady in the hat main image for a change and placed her on the coordinating background sheet on a gold dekkle edged card. This is embellished with gold peel offs and pink, purple and clear gemstones. The stamp is from SeeD's collection 'Hats off to You'. Hope you like her.

'The Happy Couple'

Posted by PicasaThe Daring Cardmakers mid week little extra challenge was 'Gimme Some Lovin''. As I am so behind with my challenges (blame my husband who has been home for two weeks!!!) I made this really quickly using a Joanna Sheen background on a gold dekkle edged card. The main image was placed on a pink mirri card embossed with the Cuttlebug small squared embossing folder.
Brett and Kirsty got married in Greece last week so this card is going to them.
Sorry I am late with this challenge - must do better this week!

Come round for tea

Posted by PicasaThe Daring Cardmakers challenge this week was to make something out of the rubbish or packaging that we would have thrown away. Initially I found this quite difficult then suddenly, whilst having tea, thought of using my old tea bag, tea bag packet and empty sugar sachet (my husband's not mine, I am sweet enough!) to make the card. I stamped a graduated mauve card (yes again) with 'Tea for two' , 'You're my cup of tea', teapot and tea cup and 'Come round for a cuppa' all Joanna Sheen unmounted stamps in black Stazon. I used an old magazine recipe for the background and added the teapot, cup and teabag, packet and sugar sachet. The edging was done with yellow and purple stickyback ribbons. I hope you will enjoy your tea and cake!!!

'It's not mine it's too BIG'

Posted by PicasaI made this card for the Wednesday Stamper challenge Eggs. Thought I would do something a little bit different so hope you like it. The background is the Cuttlebug embossing folder Divine Swirls chalked with a green chalk. The 'surprised' chickens are part of a back and front stamp set watercoloured and chalked. The egg is a medallion egg stamp chalked, glittered with Art Institute glitters and painted with Sakura stardust gold pens. The stickers are from a Lisa Bearnson box set.

Fabulous Frock

Posted by PicasaThis Fabulous Frock was created for the Daring Cardmakers little extra Fabulous challenge today. A purple plaid background paper from Joanna Sheen was placed on a mauve pearlescent card. The fabulous frock, from Joanna, was stamped on purple sprigged paper also from Joanna and embellished with Sakura glaze pens. It was attached to a piece of torn silver crumpled paper and added to the card. The stickers and ribbon were also added for effect. Can you tell I like Joanna's products ? !! and purple !!

Dream

Posted by PicasaI love this Celestial challenge from Daring Cardmakers almost as much as the Oriental theme. I used the Heavens Child creative-stamping stamp on acetate, coloured with Sakura stardust pens and glittered with Art Institute glitters, then attached it to mauve mulberry paper. The background is mauve rainbow paper embossed with Cuttlebug snowflakes (they look like stars too) embossing folder edged with silver peeloffs on a lavender pearlised card. The final embellishment is the Dream sticker. I do hope you like it.
