APRIL SHOWERS

Posted by PicasaA little card created for a Rainbow Friend April Showers swap and also for Created by Hand 'Spring' challenge this week. I created the main card background using various Glimmer Mists and Cosmic Shimmer sprays and trimmed the corners. I stamped Tilda in the rain onto a white glossy card and added the background using ink direct to the card. I coloured her using Lyra crayons. After adding a couple of photo corners and peel offs I sprayed her with the new Spray and Shine from Crafter's Companion.
This shows a typical English Spring with the April Showers.

Diamond Top Dotty Tilda

Posted by Picasa This is my first diamond top card made for the Tilda and Co Dotty challenge and also for my good friend Margaret in Hospital in Leeds. Mags, a couple of years younger than me, much slimmer and all together fitter, had an aneurysm 2 weeks ago and had to have a brain operation. She will be ok, but it just goes to show it can happen to anyone, young, old, fit, slim or otherwise. One in three persons die from this so she was one of the very lucky ones.
For the backgrounds I used some of my new DCWV adhesive papers and a few peel off corners. I stamped Tilda and coloured her with LYra and chalks adding glaze for her wings. I chalked the message too.

Rainbow Tilda

Posted by Picasa Two challenges here tonight Tilda and Co 'Not a card', so I made a bookmark, and Lots to do Sunday 'Rainbow' challenges. I stamped Tilda onto a piece of rainbow card, added purple gems to her hair and pink gems to her flowers. A peel off corner and the word 'read' and another purple gem for embellishment. The corners were cut with some new edging scissors.

Tilda's Maypole

Posted by Picasa 'May Celebrations 'was the topic this week from Tilda and Friends ATC. The background was run through the Cuttlebug embossing folder and coloured direct to paper with pink and green inks. I found the maypole on an old card and cut it down to fit. I stamped and coloured Tilda with Sakura pens and chalks then made a slit above her hands. (She was not hurt in the process.) I added a pink eyelet and attached two pink ribbons from it to Tilda's hands, to look as if she was holding them whilst they were attached to the maypole.

Tilda Remembers

Posted by Picasa Yet another new stamp from Joanna arrived so I just had to use it didn't I? This is for TGIF 'Acetate', Sunday Stampers 'Words' and Papertake Weekly 'Elegant Embossing' challenges. The striped background paper was made using Starburst Stains and the scrunch technique and layered onto a blue pearl card.
I added some sticky ribbons and a piece of acetate which I ran through a Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked with pink ink. Tilda is stamped and coloured in Sakura pens and chalks with distressed edges. I added the acetate word with a gold brad.

Patriotic Tilda with her Lantern

Posted by Picasa Well, here is my first Tilda creation made with my new stamp. Yes, I have been converted I think. Coloured in Cosmic Shimmer mica powders and chalks she is standing in front of the Swedish Flag. The topic at Tilda and Friends this week is 'Blue and Yellow' the colours of the flag, so here is my first entry.
