Here is my New Year wish for you all and also my entry for TMTA challenge 'Fireworks of Colour'. The background is a fireworks paper and the images were added from My Craft Studio.
The challenge this week over at Scrummy Stash Cafe was 'Time'. Here the brown card was embossed with the 'Script' Cuttlebug embossing folder. The lighter paper with Time words and phrases was coloured in a Tea stain then covered with crackle glaze to get the aged look. The sundial, from Serendipity, was stamped in black Stazon and coloured with Stampin' Up pens then stippled with Ranger 'Old Paper' distress ink and layered onto the torn paper. The other three stamps, from Rubbadubbadoo were stamped in black Stazon and stippled with the same distress ink.
The DCM challenge this week was 'Four of the Best' which was to incorporate 'ribbons, frames, buttons and cut' into the card. So here is mine. The red background was embossed with the Cuttlebug stylised flowers embossing folder then hand cut into the shape. and edged with gold peeloffs. The image in the black frame is from Joanna Sheen's 'Dancing with Shadows' cd and is raised on foam pads. The black card is edged with red sparkly ribbon and fastens with an actual button and red ribbon (a bit squashed in the scanner sorry) threaded through to close the card.
Another nice change today from Christmas shopping to Girly shopping for the Papertake Weekly challenge 'Shop Til You Drop'. Shoes and handbags, that's what we all love! The shoes and bag are clear stickers over different types of coloured paper and the notelets are just stickers. The bag is fastened with hook and loop with a blue sparkly flower attached. How I wish I could wear these purple high heels, I just love them.
A nice change from Christmas cards today for the Wednesday Stamper 'Open' challenge and Theme Thursday 'Flourishes' challenge. Back to my favourite mask and flourishes stamps from Stamp Addicts. The black and silver background I stamped with Resist and coloured with a silver mica powder. The mask and flourishes are stamped on red card with the silver mirri cut out eyes. This was matted on silver mirri and edged with a corner rounder.

This card was made for an 'I'm Free' challenge from Daring Cardmakers. Everything I have used including the card and the foam pads used to raise the flowers section was free from magazines, except for the two leaves which I thought would just add to the overall effect.
Here we have a triple whammy, made for my alcohol inks course, Caardvarks 'Rick Rack' challenge and 4 x 4 Friday 'Santa' challenge. The background was made using the swoosh technique with three alcohol inks, and the Santa was stamped on top in black Stazon. I added the silver peeloffs and the pink rick rack to the pink card for embellishment.
This is an alcohol inks scenery card made for a course that I am doing on the internet. Three Adirondack inks Lettuce, Oregano and Gold with a touch of Eggplant, were used on white glossy card to get the background then the scene from Stampscapes was stamped in black Stazon onto the background. This was matted on gold mirri onto a cream card.
Here is a card I made for the 'Light' challenge at Wednesday Stamper. The candle was stamped onto acetate and coloured with marker pens on the back then attached to a silver holographic card. The colours are shown here slightly darker than in real life as the candle wax is more yellow than it appears.
Today the challenge at Theme Thursday is 'Wings' so here are my two atcs with butterflies and fairies. Made up from different background papers, stickers and one black vellum butterfly. Hard to show the wings off the paper in a scan, sorry.
The challenge at Gothic Arches was 'The Joy of Christmas - Children' so I thought these two angelic little girls said it all. They are from a Joanna Sheen CD added to a diamond background from My Craft Studio cd. I just typed and used rubons for the words.
Today's challenge at Arty Girlz was to use 'Words' as the focal point of your card so here is my entry. This is what I think is the real meaning of Christmas and we do tend to forget this sometimes, so I thought a simple card would suffice. I made it in My Craft Studio using images from a Gwyneth Windsor cd and My Craft Studio cd.
The challenge today at Fluffy Fatbottomed Twisted Tuesday was 'Recipes' and over at Papertake Weekly 'Food for Thought'. Here is one I made earlier using only things I could find in the house and just a couple of Joanna Sheen stamped images for the words and tea pot and cup. I also added a tea bag and sugar packet together with a receipe for Butterfly cakes. Hope you enjoy it. I got a double whammy here today.
Well, I'm back - full of cold and flu, from my trip to Cologne after having a lovely time. The background is a mixture of coloured and silver alcohol inks, added to the glossy card with an applicator. The pink pearlescent base card is edged with silver sticky ribbon and peeloffs. The cracker was cut from silver mirri card and embellished with silver thread and star with a silver dove holding the message.
The challenge today at Theme Thursday was 'Playing cards' so I decided to use one of my pack of Oriental cards. Also wanted to try out a new technique to me using Alcohol Inks and the Polished Stone Technique which is part of the course that I am working on at present. The background was made using Cranberry, Eggplant and Silver Ranger inks placed on an applicator and 'pounced and twisted' over the glossy white card. This gave the shiny silver pinkish colours to which I then matched the Oriental border and 5 of Clubs card. Matted on silver mirri card I added silver peeloff corners and the Oriental symbol for Spring (the card signifies Spring to me).
Here is a birthday card I made for my Sister-in-law's birthday on the 8th December. I had it made already for posting, from a Michele Marsden kit, but thought I could just add the pink ribbon and purple button to make it good for entry to Daring Cardmakers Santa's Little Extra Helper 'Buttons and Bows' challenge. A nice girly card, as most of my Christmas cards are done.

The challenge today at Wednesday Stamper was 'Toys'. Our Grandson Harry, aged 3, loves cars but his favourite toy is The Big Red Bus so this one is for him. The background is from a FeeJay CD and the bus clear stamp is from Dimension Fourth. I stamped the bus and coloured it with Marvy marker pens and attached it on foam to the cars background onto a cream pearlized card. I then scanned the card and transferred it to My Craft Studio to add the words. I think he will like it.

This lovely image is from Joanna Sheen Cardmaker's Year CD and the whole card was created using background paper and message from 'My Craft Studio' again. Do you think he is naughty or nice??
The Christmas challenge over at Arty Girlz today gave me another chance to play with this gorgeous material I found at the NEC. I covered a white card for the background, then covered the white circle with the snowman. The material is already glittered so all I had to add was the message. 
Not too sure why you have four piccies here, or one looks blue instead of white, but never mind. The challenge at Papertake Weekly was 'I'm dreaming of a White Christmas' so here are my entries. The idea was to mainly use white and maybe one other colour. Both backgrounds are embossed on white card using the snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folders. The images are stamped and coloured very lightly with watercoloured Sakura pens with some added white sparkle pen for the snow. They are both under acetate with the base of the snowglobe made with Stickles glitter glue to give the raised effect of the snow. The silver snowflake jewel is the only embellishment I thought they needed other than the white glitter which is inside the globe, but not very visible on the scan.
When I saw the 'Alice in Wonderland' challenge today at TMTA I thought I could not enter as I had nothing relevant, then I remembered this wonderful dancing doll stamp I bought from the States 'Queen of Hearts'. Stamped on cream card with black Stazon and coloured using Marvy pens with an added glitter net skirt, the arms are attached with gold brads to make them move. The cut out doll sits on a black card with gold peel off corners. I have only used this stamp once before to make a card for a little girl and she loved moving the arms around. This is slightly longer than an atc should be apologies for that.
Here is another snowman covered with this fabulous tulle like material which is pale blue with blue and silver glittered stars. The snowman was stamped and coloured as usual with Stazon and Sakura pens. The base card is white with a silver edge.
