The Bear and the Flowers

Posted by PicasaThis week over on my challenge blog the challenge is 'Beary Good' sponsored by Kayla's Designs who provided the DT with some lovely images to work with.  This little bear is the one I chose - with difficulty.  The prize will be some digi images of the winners choice so do be sure to pop over and enter.
Kayla is only 16 years of age and draws her own designs to I thought I would give her a chance by promoting her on my blog - her images are cute and lovely.
The background pale green pearlised card is from a set from Craftwork Cards I won from Amy -  cut into a DL cut down shape.  I added the inside and the top border from a new CD by Cupcake Crafting only just released - this was a freebie.  I cut the centre of the shape out and added some mauve and white backing paper from my stash then printed , cut and coloured my bear using Pastel Chalks - a favourite of mine at the moment.  I added the sentiment from the same set and attached some flowers and gems to finish it off.
I like the pale colours for a change and not a Christmas card this week lol.

Highland Fling for Burns Night

We celebrate January 25th as Burns Night here in Scotland so this is my card for the occasion.  My challenge this week is Highland Fling and you can enter over on my Challenge Blog and maybe win a cd from Hazel Tabby Kat herself.  The stamps, including the words, are all from Tabby Kat and coloured with pastel chalk pencils to give a smudgy effect.  The sky was stippled using Distress Inks and a big stipple brush. Drink a toast to the Baird on 25th.

Winter Wishes

Posted by PicasaWhilst the snow is still with us, we had more last night, and the temperatures are  below freezing I am still in Christmas mood so here is my entry for CD Sunday Challenge 'New Year New to You'.
The wonderful Enchanted Dreams is new to me and I love it so.....
The background and main image are from the cd and the white edging panel is from Sue Smith.  I added some flowers, a Secret Santa gift this year and a little rub on message Winter Wishes. Another card ready for this year and I even did the insert - trying to do them with the card this year to save having them all to do at once later. Hope you like.

Christmas Holly

Posted by PicasaHere is my entry for the first Bah Humbug Christmas challenge of the new year - use Fairies and or Holly so I chose the holly. I used some lovely Kraft card for the gatefold  base, from a QVC pack, then mounted a lovely scene from Graphic 45 over the top.  I added some Tim Holtz tape down the sides and added some holly decoupage from who knows where. I also added a sentiment inside saying 'Christmas Joy is in my Heart' with a couple of borders from the same Graphic pad. See ladies done my insert too..... also this is my 7th card made for next year already..... Hope you like it. Happy New Year to you all and feel better soon Irene. xx

It's All New to Me

Posted by PicasaOver on my Challenge Blog I have a new Design Team waiting to welcome you all and here is my card for this week's challenge 'It's All New To Me'.
Anything new would do so I have used my new die by Go Kreate which cuts the actual shape of the card - a find at the NEC in November, and also a new Tim Holtz embossing folder that I love. I used silver glitter card for the base card, the image is a tag from a QVC Christmas kit and I have added the flowers with a little gem centre and some purple ribbon.
See - I am still in Christmas mood so this is also my entry to Crafty Hazelnut's new Christmas challenge blog. I hope you will enter the new challenge at both Hazel's and my challenge blog and have some fun.
