Country Christmas Silhouette

Posted by PicasaAnother silhouette card for Bah Humbug's challenge this week. Am liking this topic as I have lots of lovely digi images still to use.  This again is from Stampndoodle, matted onto red then mounted onto black and silver glitter card.  A little red bow and gems to finish off. Another done for later in the year. I will not be late with my Christmas cards I vow.

Winter Silhouette

Posted by PicasaI just loved this image the moment I saw it on 50/50 blog and knew I had to have it.  It is from Stampndoodle so off I popped to buy it and then I went and joined 50/50 too.  I printed the image onto white shiny card, chomped the corners and mounted onto another white card that I had Cuttlebugged with the snowflakes embossing folder.  I added Winter from Stampscapes stamping word set for embellishment.  I don't think it needs anything else.
This is another entry for Bah Humbug silhouettes challenge this week. I have missed a couple due to being away so need to catch up.
This is what it looks like up here in the Highlands in Winter time - wonderful.

Christmas Silhouettes

Posted by PicasaBah Humbug Christmas challenge this week is to show Silhouettes on our cards so here is my first one.  I have also added ribbon as I missed last week's challenge due to being overseas.  The image is from  Top Topper shop (purchased from Rob Jackson I think) simply stacked and mounted onto a blue card with a navy blue ribbon attached to the message. It does look a little lopsided on the scan but in real life it is straight lol. Back soon with my next one ladies.

Feathered Friends

Posted by Picasa'Feathered Friends' is the topic for this week's CD Sunday challenge.  The idea is to use something from one of your many cds that sit on the shelf waiting to be used. Here is my DT card.  First I ran the brown base card through the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder. I then added a piece of blue swirly paper printed from Michele Marsden's Designa Backgrounds cd from the Triple Treasure collection that has also been Cuttlebugged with the same folder.  The main gorgeous owl image is from Dawn Bibby's Woodland Decoupage collection. I added some extra flowers, gems and the little DCWV chipboard sentiment and a strip of ribbon at the bottom edge of the card. Do give the challenge a go this week and use those cds.

'What's on my desk'

Posted by PicasaFrankie alias Dragon's Dream asks us to surprise her this week on herTag it on challenge with 'What's on my desk' so here we are.  Before I went away three weeks ago I was working on this little piece so everything was still out on my desk on my return yesterday just waiting to be finished off.
The background was sponged with Distress Inks in various shades of blue then overstamped in black and deep purple using a mixture of Lavinia stamps. I chomped the corners and added a very deep blue ribbon to complete the tag.
Hope you like it my friend.

Elegant Ladies

Posted by PicasaThis week CD Sunday are asking us to use 'Elegant Ladies' in their challenge.
For this DT card I used the 'Reflections of Edwardian Ladies' cd and created a callendar sheet for January.  I intend to make the whole year as a gift for a friend. The picture of the lovely lady is actually decoupaged so looks really elegant in real life - rather flat on the scan sorry. Do pop over to the blog and see the lovely DT entries and maybe enter yourself.  Those poor neglected cds on the shelf would like to be used. Enjoy the challenge.

Red, Black and White

Posted by PicasaRed, Black and White is the topic for Cowgirl's Sunday Stempen Challenge this week.
I stamped the world stamp from who knows where in red and also inked the background a little to grungify (is there such a word?) then layered the black, red and white die cuts over the top to complete this atc.
Fairly simple for a change but hope you like it ladies.

The Big Apple - New York, New York

Posted by Picasa Here is my latest challenge card the topic being New York, New York.  This was inspired by the fact that when you read this I shall be on my way there for a few days vacation - yipee.
I created the background card using some of the new paler Distress Inks swooshed over the page and spritzed with water - in real life giving a very pearlised appearance.  I Googled the main image and printed out the digi images of the rose and sea scorpion - these being the State flower and State Sea Fossill.  I coloured them using Lyra crayons (Promarkers in UK) in the correct colours, then mounted all the images on foam tape to give raised effect.  I also printed and coloured the New York wording.
No stamping this week as they are all in UK.

Digital Punched Border

Posted by PicasaThe topic this week at Bah Humbug is     'punched borders'.  Now as I am overseas at the moment I don't have any punches with me so decided to do my card totally on My Craft Studio Professional.  Hah can't get me girls...... So I created the background then added the santa image, message and a little section of holly then set about creating a digitally printed border from the flower image on the CD.
Hope this is acceptable this week for the challenge.

Days Gone By

Posted by PicasaHere is my DT entry for this week's CD Sunday challenge 'Days Gone By'.
I used some Joanna Sheen gardening stamps on the background card, coloured them with Copics then distressed the edges of the card using Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage Ranger Distress Inks. The image is also from Joanna from her Cottage Garden cd - a magazine that I do remember and the penny I remember too....... lol.  I then added a couple of brown corners and a packet of wildlife flower seeds (even distressed the packet the same colour lol).  This will make a nice card for my cousin Adrian who is very into gardening - the crazy guy.
Do check out the challenge blog and have a go with the challenge - use those cds but also check out the other DT cards - you will surely find some inspiration there. Have fun and craft not garden lol.

FROG HAS A BATH

Posted by PicasaHere is my card for the Cowgirl's Sunday Stamping challenge the topic this week being 'Spring'.  I thought the little frog having a bath was just right for this challenge.  I stamped, the stamp from Dovecraft Pepper and Friends, and coloured using Copics and Promarkers, matted onto two Nestability circles and added corners, gems and velvet and chiffon ribbons for effect. The base card is from my Fancy Pants  stash.

CHRISTMAS FOOD CARD 2

Posted by PicasaMy second card for Bah Humbug this week - well - why make one when you can make two??? The pudding was a die cut decoupaged onto a green aperture card with a simple little glittered holly die cut in the corner and the message mounted on foam.
A very easy card but another one done.

CHRISTMAS FOOD

Posted by PicasaHere we have my first card for Bah Humbug 'Christmas Food' challenge this week. Yes - candy canes are food ladies. Now at the moment I am over the waters and the temperature yesterday was 76 degrees F and here I am making Christmas cards!!!!
When you don't have all your stash you have to improvise so I created my candy cane backing paper using MCS, tore a piece and added to a red holographic patterned card. The tree I cut out from another sheet of backing paper and mounted on foam tape.  I added the parcels die cuts and the postage stamp from Vintage Cards Christmas special book last year that I brought over here (not having used it before) and the green ribbon to finish it off. So thanks for makng me use something new ladies.

Country Charm

Posted by PicasaThe challenge this week over at CD Sunday is 'Country Charm' so here is my DT card or should I say bookmark.  I decided to use Joanna Sheen 'Cottage Garden' cd this week so printed out the images and attached them adding ribbon and a tassel - yes a tassel. Very simple this week but useful too. Do pop over and enter the challenge yourself and dust off those cds sitting on the shelf.

Floral Delight

Posted by PicasaThe challenge topic this week over at Crafty Ann is 'Own Choice' so here is my Floral Delight DT card.  I printed out the main image from Ann onto her pink heart background paper then coloured with Copics. I mounted this onto a purple mirri card after edging with a Martha Stewart punch.  I then covered the front with the wonderful self adhesive glitter acetate from Card Creations Plus to get the glittery effect.  The butterfly is from Wings and Flowers cd, again coloured with Copics with a couple of ribbons , flowers and gems for embellishment.
Do pop over to the blog, check out the other DT cards and enter the challenge - you may be lucky enough to win a prize from Ann.

BABY TALK - CD Sunday

Posted by PicasaHere is my DT card for this week's CD Sunday challenge 'Baby Talk'.  Now as most folks know 'I don't do babies' so this was not easy for me. My lovely little girl is talking to her 'baby doll' - I think she is showing her how to craft as she is cutting paper - the image from Joanna Sheen 'Dancing With Shadows' cd which I have not used for ages. So thanks Wendy for making me get it out and use it.  I printed the baby doll background paper and layered with  torn edges onto a pink card. I printed the large image and added some black Copic ink to get some texture on her dress.  A couple of pink flowers and a chipboard and glittered message complete the card.
Do pop over to the challenge  blog and enter this week's challenge and make use of those unloved cds that are sitting on the shelf.

Snowflakes

Posted by PicasaThis week's challenge at Bah Humbug is to create something showing Snowflakes so here is my first effort.  I stamped the scene using a mixture of scenic stamps and coloured using watercolours then mounted over white card run through the Snowflakes and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folders.  I then embossed a small piece of acetate using Divine Swirls and attached it with a gold brad.  Another done for Christmas.
