Interactive Acrylics

This is one of the paintings I did whilst away on my Charles Evans Watercolour Course. On the Sunday it was the Open day at the studio and I attended an Acrylics workshop taken by Carol White and this is the result. Actually this is painted using a new medium called Interactive Acrylics - different in that you can go back to them and reliven them up with unlocking spray and over paint without spoiling the original painting, something you can't do with normal acrylics. As I had never used acrylics before I was quite pleased with the result.

Black, White and Pink

A new challenge today for Dutch Dare Card Challenges with a topic of Black, White and one other colour. Onto a pink card I layered black, pink holographic and black cards then took a piece of pink card and overstamped in Black Stazon using some Tapestry stamps. I coloured the little lady in pink and added her to the card. A hat with flower and feather and the word 'chic' embellished the card.

Stampboard and Acrylic Snowmen

The lovely Glenda is running a competition to win some of her new stamps with the topic being to use Stampboard with Elusive Images stamps. I, like Glenda, love using stampboard. I coloured first using inks sponged and blended together, then stamped the lovely snowman from Glenda's new Christmas collection in Midnight Blue Stazon, and coloured him slightly using Sakura pens. I edged the board with silver Pentouch then clear embossed the whole piece making the embossing go all bubbly to indicate the snow. The main card was printed using Artylicious Seasons Greetings cd, starry night paper and the sentiment also from the cd and covered with a snowflake acetate wrap from Michele Marsden. Then I stamped onto an acrylic piece from Joanna Sheen, using the same stamps and some little Glenda swirly stamps too. Coloured in the same way and colours I then clear and white embossed on the back of the acrylic. I attached with a snowflake eyelet the acetate to the card front then fastened blue ribbon fibre to dangle the acrylic piece. I finally attached the stampboard, a coordinating insert and even a snowman 'handmade by me' name tag on the back. Sorry about the light reflecting on the acetate caused by the scan.

Christmas Red Riding Hood

Another 'Christmas' challenge from My Time To Craft this week. The wonderful lady with movable arms was stamped in black Stazon then watercoloured using Marvy pens. A little glitter was added then she was layered onto torn starry vellum onto a silver dekkle edged card.

Vintage Time

The challenge this week from Arty Girlz is 'Vintage' so here is my vintage time card. The brown card background was run through the script Cuttlebug folder then attached to the front of a cream pearlescent card. I typed lots of time words and phrases, present time, past time, etc then covered the torn paper with a layer of tea varnish and added this to the front of the brown card. I stamped the images, the sun dial from Joanna Sheen and the others from Rubbadubbadoo and coloured with inks and distress ink pads. These were raised on foam tape on the card. I embellished with a gold ribbon attached to a brown shaped paper clip to keep the brown card from falling open. Inside both cards are 2 coordinating inserts.

Red, Black and White

Here is a very quick and simple decoupaged card for the 'Red, Black and White' My Time to Craft challenge. Sorry I am so late ladies. The images were cut out and simply decoupaged but afraid you can't get a good view from the scan.

Recycling

Here is a card made using 'Recyled' bits and pieces for Joanna Sheen's challenge this week. The recipe is from a magazine as is the picture of the chocolate cake. Coffee, sugar, chocolate drink and actual chocolate wrapper are all used already - sorry guys no choccie left.
