Checked Shoes

Posted by Picasa A second waterfall card for the Daring Cardmakers challenge 'All Checked Out'. I have added a checked border strip to the pink pearlescent card and attached the waterfall (lovely shoes) again with brads. The message reads Happy Birthday.
I shall not be posting for a week as taking a short trip to Bruges. Take care all.

Checked Flowers

Posted by Picasa This is a waterfall card from a Michele Marsden kit made for the
Daring Cardmakers challenge 'All Checked Out'. The very simple waterfall section is attached with brads to a green pearlescent card and the message reads Birthday Wishes (not very clear on photo sorry).

Pink Deer

Posted by Picasa Another card from the 'Enchanted Christmas' CD by Joanna Sheen. The two coordinating background papers, one on parchment, are layered with silver peeloffs onto a pink pearlised card. The deer images are then stacked on foam strips to give the raised effect.

Hello Deer

Posted by Picasa These next two cards are made from the Joanna Sheen 'Enchanted Christmas' CD. In this one the two coordinating background papers are layered onto a brown card and edged with gold peeloffs. The images are then stacked on top each other using foam strips to give the raised effect.

December 25

Posted by Picasa'Daring Cardmakers' mid week little extra dare was 'We've got your number' and 'Creative Ideas on Sunday' challenge was 'Black and White', so I have got a double dare here with this card. The two Joanna Sheen background papers were attached to a white pearlised card with silver peeloffs. The main images are the same as the background from Joanna Sheen's 'Enchanted Christmas' CD. One is in a black photo mount raised on foam tape and the other flat. The message peeloffs were silver but I coloured them black with peel off marker pens.

Holiday Memories

Posted by Picasa Again for Think Monday Think ATC here is a traditional holiday ATC. The sand, sea and bottle background paper were torn and attached with acetate, brads and netting, and an actual shell adds the realistic finishing touch together with the Memories sentiment.

Summer Holidays

Posted by Picasa Think Monday Think ATC topic for this week was Holidays. As I am a huge Cliff Richard fan I always think of Cliff when 'Summer Holidays' are mentioned, (because of his film 'Summer Holiday') so here is my different type of ATC. The sentiment Summer Holidays was added to the London bus and Cliff picture. Also I attached another card to the front with acetate, brads and cord. This card has the traditional sand, and sea and memories sentiments.

Flippex Lake Scene - other side of Balloon

Posted by Picasa Here is the other side of the Balloon card. When viewed from other side shows a different picture. Difficult to photograph to show effects but have had a go. Hope you get the general idea.

Flippex Balloon

Posted by Picasa Here are two Flippex cards made by folding preprinted paper and attached to white card. Embellished with gold lines and peeloffs.
Very difficult to photograph to get proper effects, but look sideways and there are two pictures on the one card.

Pockets of Fun

Posted by Picasa The dare today from Daring Cardmakers was 'Pockets of Fun', in other words to design a card with pockets. The striped background was covered with the plain, pink and brown card with one corner folded over to make the pocket. Pink ribbon was threaded through three holes on the pocket and the messages attached to a plain white card. Some of the items on the card are from a Lisa Bearnson kit and the others are my own.

Faux Haberdashery

Posted by PicasaI am combining two dares with this card for Daring Cardmakers. The topics are 'Haberdashery' (whatever you find in your sewing box), and 'Go Faux It', (using something fake on your cards). So, I found the ribbon and safety pin in my sewing box, which is not very big as I don't do much sewing, and the red button sticker and the sewing machine and scissors acetates are faux.
I think that does it for this dare.

Oriental Lady

Posted by PicasaAs it is summer or supposed to be, Wednesday Stamper have given an Open Theme challenge today. Here is a favourite Oriental one I created today. The Oriental Lady is stamped with purple Stazon onto a purple graduated card and coloured with Sakura glaze pens. The 'outsert' or overlay is an acetate wrap covered in pink and purple butterflies which is secured with pink dragonfly brads. There is an Oriental vellum insert which of course you can't see! Enjoy the summer everyone.

Oriental Luck ATC's

Posted by Picasa These were made a wee while ago in case I needed them, so I think they fit the bill for the Think Monday Think ATC Asia challenge. I have used various background papers with holographic card, images, stickers and embellishments and the fans were stamped using black Stazon for these lucky ATC's.
I wish good luck to all who view them.

The embellishment is a circle of card with a 'row' sticker attached with an orange brad.

Rainbow Cliff

Posted by Picasa No - I did not make this. I received it in a card swap RAK from a lovely friend called Jacqui. It is sooo gorgeous just had to display it here for all to see. I am the world's biggest Cliff fan and to incorporate him with a rainbow is just genius. Well done Jacqui.

Brown and Blue 60's

Posted by PicasaBrown is a colour I do not do - not in clothes, in the house or in cardmaking, so this was a hard challenge for me. Creative Ideas on Sunday came up with the idea, so sorry if this looks a little more on the orangey side rather than really brown, it was the best I could find. The brown and blue spotted card is attached with brown brads and the 'It's the 60's relax' topper is from Tuliptoppers 'Do you remember' series. The coppery brown birthday wishes accent completes this card.

The Swinging 60's

Posted by Picasa The Daring Cardmakers little extra this week is 'find your inspiration in the 60's'. That was a good time for me. The 60's background paper is from Tuliptoppers 'Do you remember' series and shows the late President Kennedy, Ban the bomb, Mini cars, Twiggy, The Beatles, scooters amongst other topics of the time. The flowery diamond is swinging on a pink and silver thread and the 60's bus, car and scooter are also from Tuliptoppers. The mauve card is edged with mauve and gold peeloffs. I loved this dare.

Flowersoft ATC's

I'm having an ATC day today as you can see; these are for the new Just Bex ATC pot luck swap. They have Flowersoft, gold peeloffs and corners, epoxy stickers and gems added to flower, butterfly and baby bird backgrounds.

Oriental ATC's

Posted by PicasaHere are four Oriental ATC's. Two (thought I may as well do four) of these were done for a Wendie Rhodes challenge swap which had to include '3 little things' by using something green, something metal and ribbon. The green background paper is from a kimono making kit, the images are from Meryle's Tuliptoppers range and the postcards from a QVC oriental collection. Ribbon, metal coins and brads have been added for the other 2 things plus an odd green flower and gold peel offs. I have covered two with acetate for a different look and added a greeting.

Tasseled Button

Posted by PicasaThe Wednesday Stamper challenge this week was to use buttons, either many or just one. I chose one mauve button and tied it with silver cord to a mauve tassel and attached it to the gold dekkle edged card. The evening dress image is a Joanna Sheen stamp, stamped in black Stazon on to a JS background paper. This was placed over a piece of very bright purple holographic paper edged with purple and white ribbon. I added an extra embellishment in the form of a pale grey skeleton leaf (I don't often use them) and added Stickles glitter glue to the dress with a gold message peel off.

Medieval Birthday

Posted by PicasaHere is a Medieval Birthday card made today for Daring Cardmakers 'Text' dare: yes I have made this today!! I just received my Robert Adams Medieval CD so had to try it out for this dare. The main image from the CD was matted on gold embossed card and the background text is from the same CD. The envelope and messsage reads 'on your special day' (not very clear on photo sorry) and both the best wishes card and the special day card are in copper foiled card to match the copper/orangey pearlised card and the ribbon is orange and white.

Text Birthday Card

Posted by PicasaMade this a couple of weeks ago for my friend Margaret's birthday so thought it would be good for the Daring Cardmakers 'Text' challenge today. The fan image is from a Joanna Sheen CD and the silver mirri card is embossed with the Happy Birthday text Cuttlebug embossing folder. Butterflies and beaded jewels embellish the card. Margaret loved it.

Man in a balloon

Posted by PicasaNot a good picture I'm afraid as having problems with camera and computer today. This was made from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD and embellished with sticky back ribbon and a Happy Birthday tag (which is not visible sorry). I have shown back and front for a change.
