Peel Off Kimono

Posted by Picasa 'Peel Offs' was the challenge from DCM this week so here is my Oriental version. The background was stamped, stamps from English Stamp Company, and embossed with red embossing powder then the red card was mounted over the top, also stamped and embossed in red. I added the peeloffs, kimono, shoes and fan to a piece of red card then cut them out and mounted onto the red card which was edged with gold peeloffs. I added a red vellum butterfly for the finishing touch.

Green Asian Gothic Arch

Posted by Picasa Three challenges in one here with 'Green' for Sunday Stampers, 'Asian' for Gothic Arches and 'Quotes' for Scrummy Stash Cafe. The background paper for the arch was created on white glossy card, using alcohol inks, bottle, lettuce, meadow and gold colours mixed together and pounced with the applicator. I then overstamped in green Stazon with various Oriental leaf and branch stamps. The butterfly and acetate cover are from a QVC kit attached with an Oriental coin and a green pearl brad. I added a Chinese quote on parchment torn and edged with green ink.

Dare to Follow Your Dreams

Posted by Picasa Here is something a little different for the 'Bookmarks' challenge at Wednesday Stamper. I stamped the black card with the Oriental tree, bird, flowers and grass stamps from English Stamp Co. and embossed in gold. I then coloured a piece of stampboard with pinks and purples, my favourite colours, stamped the text in darker pink and stamped and embossed the corners with the grass stamp. With my trusty Crop-a-dile made the holes and attached the stampboard with lilac thread. This will hang over the page hopefully. I always read at night before going to sleep, hence the text 'Dare to Follow Your Dreams.'

More Shades of Red

Posted by Picasa Yes, everyone must be in a red mood just now, thought we got January blues - but there we go. This is for Arty Girlz 'Red' challenge. The black card was stamped with English Stamp Company stamps and embossed with Red Dragon embossing powder and corner rounded. The red card stamped and embossed with the Personal Impressions background stamp and edged with gold peeloffs. The kimono skicker is on black card and a butterfly, shoes and fan complete the picture.

Shades of Red

Posted by PicasaI made this a couple of days ago for a Monochromatic (shades of the same colour - not black and white as many people think) card swap and have used shades of red for a change. As my card is now in the mail I can safely post this on here. The Oriental tree from English Stamp Company, was stamped and embossed using red sparkle embossing powder and some of the flowers are also coloured with red Sakura glitter pens. I added the coin and words sticker embellishments, and the same tree made out of shrink plastic, and matted onto gold mirri card with a red and gold butterfly in the corner. The insert is also red and Oriental.
Now today I find the challenge over at Papertake Weekly is 'Roses Are Red', so this is an ideal card for the challenge. I must be psychic.
