FAIRY DOORS

Posted by PicasaIn the town of Ann Arbour in the States lots of Fairy Doors have appeared in various places over the years.  You can click the link to read about them.  I have always been fascinated by the story so thought this would make a nice topic for my Challenge blog this week.  I created the background using Mica mists sprayed onto a white card and adding a few drops of water to get the lightness in the sky and the moon.  I then overstamped using Lavinia stamps in black, purple and blue inks, chomped the corners and hey ho my card was made. Hope you like it and maybe you will go away and make your own fairy door for my challenge.

Take a trip to Fantasyland with me - with an added twist

Posted by PicasaHere is my latest challenge card - for my own challenge today.  The main card was created using my new MCS Illustrious Illusions cd (changing the colour scheme) - I love it.  I wrapped the printed ribbon from the cd round the back and left hand side of the gate fold card and mounted the topper over it. Then I made the tag colouring with Distress Inks, Broken China and Faded Jeans then overstamped the door from Lavinia and the fairy from Clarity with some added swirls and stars in blues and black.  I attached the tag using a blue brad in the centre of the blue flower and added the chipboard Dream from DCWV.
I hope you like my fantasyland trip as much as I enjoyed creating it.

'What's on my desk'

Posted by PicasaFrankie alias Dragon's Dream asks us to surprise her this week on herTag it on challenge with 'What's on my desk' so here we are.  Before I went away three weeks ago I was working on this little piece so everything was still out on my desk on my return yesterday just waiting to be finished off.
The background was sponged with Distress Inks in various shades of blue then overstamped in black and deep purple using a mixture of Lavinia stamps. I chomped the corners and added a very deep blue ribbon to complete the tag.
Hope you like it my friend.

BALLOONS

Posted by Picasa Here is a card I made for a Turquoise, Lemon and Pink swap and also for my Balloons challenge this week. I used some torn lemon paper over turquoise for the base and sky then overstamped using a Lavinia stamp (new from NEC) and a few grasses from Sheena. The main balloon stamp from Inca stamps was stamped and coloured with pink and green Lyras then cut out and glitter glue added for the sparkle effect. Mounted on bright pink mirri card onto a pink pearlised card. I stamped some butterflies in teal Stazon and again added glitter glue. I also added a trail of stars from Crafters Companion in teal with glitters. A little turquoise rick rack ribbon to finish off. I hope my friend likes it.
