A Note For You

Posted by Picasa A little circle tag for Tag You're It 'Circle' challenge. I sprayed the centre from an aperture card with Glimmer Mists, Lily Pad and Frosty Nights then stamped in green Stazon the little owl with the message for you. I added some Stickles silver glitter glue, ribbon and edged the points with green inks. Almost forgot to add Created By Hand challenge too.

Oriental Waterfall

Posted by PicasaMade using My Craft Studio Oriental CD this is just right for the Crazy Amigo 'Asian' challenge. I printed out the background and all the images, constructed the waterfall and decoupaged the lady, then added a gold tassel and a few gold peeloffs.

Pockets

Posted by Picasa The challenge at My Time to Craft this week was 'Pockets' so here is one I made earlier (just returned from week away and trying to catch up lol). Using various papers and card from Lisa Bearnson, I made the pocket by turning over the top corner of the card. With added ribbons and messages the card is complete.

Lovely Lady

Posted by Picasa Well, here at last is my entry for Ann's 'Facelift for an old Friend' challenge on my Challenge Blog and also for Make It Monday's 'Women' challenge. I took a white glossy card and covered in in various shades of yellow and orange oil pastels, then covered it with a coat of white Gesso (my new aquisition on holiday). I stamped the image and scratched some Gesso off and coloured her face with chalks, then painted another coat of Gesso. I then added some Crackle glaze and Tea Dye Varnish with a paintbrush then dabbed it off to get the textured finish. I mounted onto Whimsical Ways card stock from last week's Ideal World show then added the rose, flower and a couple of stickers. The top corners were rounded with my new scissors which were given to me last week by my lovely friend Frankie. A very different way with this lovely stamp.

Two more Awards on my Awards slide show

I have to thank the lovely Julia and Tracie Jane for the new awards that I received this week. Tracie Jane gave me 'You Rock My Socks'and Julia gave me 'Kreativ Blogger' and I am honoured to get them - thanks so much ladies.
I should now pass these on to other creative people but some of you have them already and you are all so talented that I just cannot choose. If you don't have them please feel free to pop one on your blog and pass it on if you feel you can do so. Please also check in with Julia and Tracie Jane to get more inspiration from their lovely creations.

IDEAL WORLD WHIMSICAL WAYS DECOUPAGE TV SAMPLES

Posted by Picasa This card is made up from the lovely decoupage kit which accompanies the Whimsical Ways cd. A larger than A4, too large for the scanner, corner folded cream card with scalloped edges with a wonderful vellum insert and message 'Thinking of You'. The main decoupaged images are sitting on the same design backing card with a message 'Flowers for You', a pink pearl brad and pink tassel and a couple of heart motifs.

IDEAL WORLD WHIMSICAL WAYS TV SAMPLES

Posted by Picasa This is a lovely image from My Craft Studio 'Whimsical Ways' cd. I printed it out then matted on yellow card and gold mirri onto a two coloured yellow A4 card, landscape for a change. I punched all the corners with an embossing corner punch and added some yellow and brown ribbon to the right hand side. The smaller images are decoupaged and raised on foam tape. I printed the message on a background from the cd also. The insert is the same background sheet with an added small printed picture and another decoupaged picture. I then embellished the trees with some odd bits of trees that I found lurking in a box and added the raffia ribbon.

IDEAL WORLD WHIMSICAL WAYS TV SAMPLES

Posted by Picasa Another creation from the 'Whimsical Ways' My Craft Studio. The large A4 card has backing sheet of the girl in the red coat printed out from the cd, with a co-ordinating large vellum wrap and a decoupaged mirror image girl overlayed. I added red ribbons, the message and a few red peeloffs and a gold and cream 'Thinking of You' vellum insert. I just love this artwork, it is super in real life.

IDEAL WORLD WHIMSICAL WAYS TV SAMPLES

Posted by Picasa Another card from the new My Craft Studio CD. As this is larger than my A4 scanner you can only just see the decoupaged girl on the right. This edge is also scalloped with the vellum insert showing. The larger than A4 cream card has a vellum overlay with an added little booklet tied with ribbon and a message card attached.

IDEAL WORLD WHIMSICAL WAYS TV SAMPLES

Posted by PicasaThe following few cards are Ideal World Sample cards to be shown on Sunday 25th May. This image is from a new CD from My Craft Studio called 'Whimsical Ways'. Simply printed out onto cream pearlescent paper, matted onto silver mirri card and embellished with a purple ribbon and peel off greeting. The rest will be shown on here over the next few days so please do come back and see them, there are some gorgeous images and decoupage and the most stunning A3 vellum wraps. Thanks.

Cheers Gordon

Posted by Picasa I am sure my Brother-in-law will be having a pint on his birthday so this card is very appropriate for him. The dominoes background paper is from Kanban with torn and distressed edges. The main image was stamped and coloured in watercolour pencils and matted on gold linen paper. The small glass image is also from Kanban. This is my entry for Papertake Weekly 'Men' challenge too.

A Journey needs a Map

Posted by Picasa 'Maps' was the challenge from Mixed Media Monday so this card is just right. The background is stamped with a map in sepia and I have added lots of stickers, stamped sayings, distressed inks on paper with icons and a couple of tags with ribbon and a gold brad. A real mish mash of ephemera.

Christmas Angels

Posted by Picasa Just had to try out my new Joanna cd 'Heavenly Cards' to make this wonderful Christmas Card. The challenge on my blog this week is to use 'Angels' so this is the one I chose. Layered onto the coordinating background paper and backed with silver mirri card and raised on foam with a silver message. This card fits nicely with Arty Girlz 'Wings' challenge too.

Speedway Birthday Boy

Posted by Picasa 'Transportation' is the theme at Theme Thursday this week so this card fits the bill I think. From some TV samples I made for Ideal World I have decoupaged the images and chalked the background to make it look like a speedway track. Inside is a voucher for tickets to see a race.

Flowers in the Round

Posted by Picasa 'Flowers in the Round' for Tanda Teaser this week. The background was stamped and chalked with various stamps. I stamped the water lily and dragonflies on acetate then coloured and glittered from the back. I made two tags from water lily paper and stamped and embellished with ribbons.

Happy Birthday

Posted by Picasa A fairly simple 'Birthday card' for Crazy Amigo challenge this week. The pink and silver backgrounds were Cuttlebug embossed then the butterfly attached and sprinkled and covered with mini beads. A message and a few beads on elastic complete the card.

Turquoise Mask

Posted by Picasa Everyone knows by now that this is one of my very favourite stamps from Stamp Addicts, so had to use it for 4 x 4 Friday ' Masks' challenge. In fact you can see it on my blog Gallery header. Stamped in black Stazon, what else, and coloured in Sakura pens and chalks I have cut out the eyes and backed them with a varigated coloured foiled card. I added some Tapestry stamps, rick rack ribbon, threads from the lovely Sammie and a silver and turqoise brad.

Paisley Flowered Tag

Posted by Picasa This week the challenge at So Salsa was 'Paisley' which I love. The background card was sponged with purple inks then the purple tag, which I ran through the Paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder, was attached. The lilac spotted card added down the side and a couple of messages, flower with pearl brad and ribbon complete the look.

Butterfly and Floral Flourishes

Posted by Picasa Whilst I was making the previous card I thought I would also make my arch for Gothic Arches 'Flourishes' challenge using the same stamps. As before from Dimension Fourth and Tapestry and coloured with chalks again.

Dans ma maison il y a un papillon

Posted by Picasa This week I managed to finish my entry for this new challenge site
Dans ma maison (or in my house there is ...) and the challenge was 'Butterfly'. I cut the house from the template provided and stamped with flourish stamps from Dimension Fourth and various Tapestry stamps and a butterfly stamp. I used lots of colours then chalked each image as well. I added the large pink, jewelled and sparkly butterfly that I found in a local shop for the main topic point.

Guest Designer for the week - Little Ole Wine Drinker Me

Posted by Picasa I have the honour this week to have been chosen as Hels first Guest Designer on her Sunday Stampers challenge site. These are the two cards I made for this 'Wine' challenge. Please do pop over and visit Hels and try the challenge for yourself too, she has some lovely creations to be seen there. Most of her challenges are song titles , hence the lovely Dean Martin one here.

Post Card From Somewhere

Posted by Picasa Arty Girlz theme this week was Travel so here is a post card from somewhere. This wonderful collage stamp was stamped in brown Stazon and coloured with chalks yet again. I just love the soft effect they give.

Dark Haired Lady

Posted by Picasa My Time to Craft asked for 'Dark Hair' this week, so this lady fits the bill. The background silk paper from Joanna Sheen covers a pink pearlised card. I stamped the lady, from QVC, onto white card and coloured her with 'Chalks' to cover the Saturday Workout challenge. Matted onto silk mirri card again from Joanna I added a pink bow and feather for embellishment.

Oriental Skinny

Posted by Picasa This looks so much better in real life, sorry the scan does not help it at all. For Sea Gals Skinny 'Oriental' challenge I created the background using foils of different blues and silvers. I stamped the wonderful lady onto black card then coloured her with Perfect Pearls and Sakura pens and trimmed her down a little to make it look as if she was infront of the screen. I then added the coin with a blue and silver pearl brad.

Lilac and Lime Thank You Tag

Posted by Picasa Three challenges in one today with this 'Thank you' for Stamp Something, 'Lilac and Lime' for Papertake Weekly and 'Pretty and Feminine' for Tag You're It. The backing papers torn and edged with purple inks, and stamped in purple, are from Nancy's Making Cards freebies as is the pocket and tag. I have mounted them on silver mirri and attached ribbons, sentiment, and a silver corner.
