IN THE FOREST

Posted by PicasaThe topic over at Bah Humbug this week was 'TREES' so here is my little forest scene. Stamped with Black Stazon onto Fancy Pants paper using Cornish Heritage, The Craft Barn and Unmounted Stamp Company trees . Snowflake stamp from Stamp Addicts stamped and embossed in silver and white and the rocks stamps from Art Impressions.  I added some Silver, Gold and White Sakura pen dots and stipples which do not show too well on the scan but sparkle in real life. The whole card was distressed round the edges using Ranger Distress Inks.

Something Different for Crafty Ann's DT

Posted by PicasaThis week the challenge at Crafty Ann's was to make something different or try a different technique so I invented my  own version of the diamond fold card for my DT card. For the top photo I used some of Ann's lovely digi images of apples and created a border on the swirly paper using MCS and covered the bottom of the card with it.  I cut a circular mat and added the decoupaged apple which was coloured with Promarkers and Copics and added Stickles glitter glue of course.  I folded the top edges in and added the ribbon and text and added the top layers of decoupage to the opening flap to use as an opener if that makes sense.  The bottom photo shows what the card looks like with the top edges opened.  The back message reads Get Well Soon.
Do check out Ann's challenges yourselves - you may be lucky and win some of her lovely digi images.  Good luck.

The Year of the Tiger

Posted by PicasaHere is my entry for this week's Dragon's Dream challenge 'The year of the Tiger'. Frankie has not been well for some time so it is good to see her challenge back up and running with my friend Lyn otherwise known as Blackdragon as Guest Designer this week.
I stamped the background with a little Oriental tree from Debbie Moore using Ranger Distress ink Frayed Burlap and Old Paper and colour tinted the tag with the same inks. The Tiger cigarette card ( actually from a box of safety matches)was from a QVC set also edged with Distress Inks. I added a brown ribbon and a little coin tied up with gold Oriental thread then oversprayed the whole tag with Gold spray from Crafter's Companion. Hope you like it ladies and Happy New Year to all.

Snowmen

Posted by PicasaHere is my entry for the Bah Humbug challenge this week topic 'Snowmen'. I stamped (the stamp from QVC I think) the images coloured then scanned and popped into Kaleidescope Creator to get the circular effects. 'Tis a while since I did something simlar so thought I would have another go and this is the result. I cut round the edges (the white is just the scanner background) and added a gem in the centre and dotted some Stickles glitter glues around. Hope you like it.

Have a Heart

Posted by PicasaHere is my card for my own challenge 'Have a Heart and Wear Red' this week but I am also entering it into the following challenges:-
Daring Cardmakers
My Time to Craft
Simon Says
Tuesday Taggers
Crafty Calender challenges
Little Red Wagon
Club Anya

First I stamped the Queen of Hearts, embossed in silver and coloured her with Promarkers attaching her arms with brads that I also coloured red.  The background photograph of heart candies is one I took whilst in Toronto recently at Lawrence Street market,  I cut a couple of paisley Cuttlebug scallops from the same paper and some gold mirri card and added them to the card.  The corner chomper was used to create the heart shaped corners. A couple of chipboard stickers and hey presto the card was done.
Do pop over to my challenge blog and enter your card too.

If Music be the food of Love...

Posted by PicasaHere is my DT challenge card for Crafty Ann - this week the topic is 'If music be the food of love'.  The pink background paper and the lovely guitar are Ann's digital downloads.  The guitar was coloured using Promarkers and decoupaged.  I printed the background onto die cut jigsaw card and removed one of the pieces and popped a love sticker underneath.  The music flourish is from MCS, together with  flourish, heart and love glittered stickers and  a couple of photo corners to finish it off.
Do check out Ann's challenge blog and enter - you may just be lucky enough to win a prize.
This is also for Alphabet challenges and Sew Many Cards challenges and C.R.A.F.T  challenge, Pile it On and Ooh La La challenges
