Here is the photo of the big cedar tree blown down on South Shore by the wind on Saturday 23rd January. Some winter storms are worse than hurricanes and this one certainly was with heavy rain, very high seas outside and inside the reef and hurricane force winds. This old cedar tree had been standing proudly for years before being demolished in a flash. Cedar is very valuable in Bermuda hence the men rushing to cut it down so very quickly - on a Saturday too!!!.
