Flower Soft Bouquet

Posted by Picasa I have never made a Flowersoft bouquet before so this was something new. The ladies made it very easy and I was pleased with the result. I can enter this for Mixed Media Monday 'New' challenge too.

A Journey needs a Map

Posted by Picasa 'Maps' was the challenge from Mixed Media Monday so this card is just right. The background is stamped with a map in sepia and I have added lots of stickers, stamped sayings, distressed inks on paper with icons and a couple of tags with ribbon and a gold brad. A real mish mash of ephemera.

In the Garden

Posted by Picasa The topic this week at Mixed Media Monday is 'to use a Transparency' on our card so here is mine. The stamps all from Dimension Fourth were stamped and coloured using a mixture of pens, inks and Sakura pens for highlights. I added the stamped message and the acetate message Dreams is attached with a green dragonfly brad. This is also a good entry for the Garden theme over at The Artistic Stamper.

Paint and Foiled Charmer

Posted by Picasa Oh, I am on a roll now with these backgrounds, a bit messy but I love them. I used red, blue and white acrylic paints first, when dry added glue then various coloured foils. I added the mask and crown holographic stickers then attached with a staple the pink and blue ribbon. The charm was made for me by a lovely forum friend Elaine so I added it temporarily (it will go on my phone eventually I think). This card covers Mixed Media Monday 'Paint', My Time to Craft 'Ribbons' and Created by Hand 'Charms' challenges.

The Mind of a Man

Posted by Picasa This skinny covers three challenges, Sea Gals Skinny 'Jokers', Mixed Media Monday 'Playing cards' and Make it Monday 'Quotes'. The background vellum was created with Oriental stamps using green Stazon then attached to the green skinny and torn. I added old Chinese proverb on cream vellum and coloured it green with inks and added the Chinese playing card Joker Horseman.

Feather Hat

Posted by Picasa This card that I share today was made for a card swap, which, alas seems to have gone missing in the mail. From Joanna's Fashion Boutique cd, I have simply layered the images onto the coordinating background to form the pyramage card. This is my entry for the 'Hats' challenge at Mixed Media Monday.

Girls and Dolls

Posted by Picasa A different theme today at Mixed Media Monday is 'Girls and Dolls'. As yesterday was so cold and hailstone snowy I was making Christmas cards and came upon this lovely image on Joanna's Enchanted Christmas cd. Simply printed the background, torn and edged with blue ink, and pyramaged the image onto silver mirri card with a few silver peeloffs. Another one done. Sorry I know it's supposed to be April but does not feel like it though the sun is shining well this morning, so here's hoping.

Gay Paris

Posted by Picasa Here is my entry for Mixed Media Monday 'Paris' challenge. The background was created using the Fantasy Floral Cuttlebug embossing folder, covered in pink ink, direct to paper, then embossed with clear sparkle powder and added to the pink card. I also attached ribbon, Eiffel Tower, postage stamp, coin and greeting all from one of Michele's kits.

Do You Believe?

Posted by Picasa Do you believe in fairies? I do. The challenge for Mixed Media Monday is 'Believe' so here is my fairy card. Simply created with some holographic fairy paper, a black vellum butterfly and the word 'Believe'. Oh, I can also use this for Caardvarks 'Flight of Fancy' challenge.

Friends make life blossom

Posted by Picasa Well, where do I begin with this creation, which has not turned out quite as I expected and has taken me all night to do.
The background brown card was flower stamped for Created By Hand, with versamark then chalked with pink inks. The torn paper was made using Stardust Stains and scrunched to get the textured look for TMTA (a bit large sorry). Pink holographic card gives some sparkle, for My Time to Craft, as does the stamped image which was stamped in brown and coloured with mostly pink for Theme Thursday, cosmic shimmers. The flowers are handmade, for DCM Extra, with gem centres and the message stamped in brown and coloured in pink ink direct to paper. Maybe I can also include Mixed Media Monday's bright colours too.

Male Medieval Birthday

Posted by Picasa This one made for our Son's birthday but thought it would be good for
Mixed Media Monday 'Men' challenge. Made simply from Robert Adams Medieval cd which is great for male cards.

Purple and Gold Ladies

Posted by Picasa Here is my entry for TGIF 'Swirls' and Mixed Media Monday 'Purple and Gold' challenges. Purple never difficult for me as you all know it is my favourite colour. The background purple map is from a Joanna Sheen cd and the gold arch was Divinely swirled through the Cuttlebug. The three ladies, Hero Arts, were stamped and coloured with Cosmic Mica Powders (my favourite colouring medium of the moment) one attached with a gold brad the other two strung on purple cord through purple eyelets set with Crop-a-dile. Pink bow added for effect to pick out the purple pink of the dresses.

Mr Piano Man

Posted by Picasa Here is one for Mixed Media Monday 'Music' challenge. This is a very large stamp which has just been coloured with chalks and mounted on a cream card with a strip of gold card, music notes and square brads with a gold peel off message. This card I will also enter for the Sunday Stampers 'Men' challenge.

By the Sea

Posted by Picasa Here is my late entry for Theme Thursday's 'By the Sea' challenge. The blue card background was run through the new cuttlebug embossing folder Shell Collage, then I used a piece of yellow corrugated for the decoupaged shell, again embossed and cut out and mounted over the grey sea horse. The silver whale and two real sea shells complete the card. This card can also be applied to Mixed Media Monday's 'Texture' challenge I think as the corrugated card is very tactile.

Swirls

Posted by Picasa The card I share here is one I made for the Mixed Media Monday 'Swirls' challenge. The swirly stamp is a freebie from a magazine stamped in purple Stazon on two white cards then cut and rounded with the corner punch. The centre flower and butterfly are decoupaged and one of the two large purple flower is also double layered. Just for you in gold peeloffs finishes the card.

House in the Woods

Posted by PicasaHere is my entry for Mixed Media Monday 'House' challenge. The house in the woods and all the other stamps are from Stampscapes and Art Impressions, stamped in black Stazon and water coloured with metallic rubons, Marvy pens and watercolour pens. I just love these scenic stamps.

Potty About Purple

Posted by PicasaStep Outside Your Box Saturday offered a challenge to use 'Magazine Art' in our card making, so here is my effort. However I thought this card could also apply to the Mixed Media Monday 'Whimsey' challenge as I think the little Russian doll looks whimsical. The magazine was advertising the fact that purple is the in colour at the moment, however, it is always in with me, as most of you know already it is my favourite colour. The table, lamp, vase and doll were all cut from the magazine and I attached them over an alcohol inks background made up of Cranberry, Wild Plum and Silver inks. The purple flowers my husband bought me for Christmas and I added a purple and silver brad in the centre. The left hand side is edged with a purple sticky ribbon together with the title strip and I added a piece of raffia type paper at the bottom.

Mixed Media Time

Posted by Picasa Well, this really is a mixed bag created for two challenges,
Mixed Media Monday 'Time' and Arty Girlz 'Buttons'. The time clocks background paper was torn and attached with a brown swirly ribbon. On top of this I matted a piece of glossy card coloured with alcohol inks and overstamped with the Flourish stamp from Stamp Addicts. The main image and words are from Serendipity stamps from Joanna Sheen. These are watercoloured with Cosmic Mica powders and watercolour pens and the whole piece is aged with a distress ink pad. If you look really closely the sticker in the right bottom corner with the clocks has two buttons attached.
