Frog on a Bike

Posted by PicasaHere is the card I made for my dear husband's 60th birthday last week and also my entry for Created by Hand 'Animals or Pets' challenge. The frog was stamped (and sent to me by a blogging friend) and embossed all over using green sparkle embossing powder then cut out and mounted onto a cream card. I then added a hand made corner using silver Metal Magic and a corner stamp from Tesco, a peel off 60 and stamped Happy Birthday.

APRIL SHOWERS

Posted by PicasaA little card created for a Rainbow Friend April Showers swap and also for Created by Hand 'Spring' challenge this week. I created the main card background using various Glimmer Mists and Cosmic Shimmer sprays and trimmed the corners. I stamped Tilda in the rain onto a white glossy card and added the background using ink direct to the card. I coloured her using Lyra crayons. After adding a couple of photo corners and peel offs I sprayed her with the new Spray and Shine from Crafter's Companion.
This shows a typical English Spring with the April Showers.

Striped Collage

Posted by Picasa This lovely little stamp, from Ladybug and friends, was a prize I won last year - are they not so cute? The challenge at Created By Hand was 'Stripes' and my own challenge this week was 'People' so this card fits both. There are lots of different torn papers attached to a blue card with the stamped image being matted on gold card and coloured using watercolour pencils. The message stamp is from a Hero Arts set. Oops almost forgot Colour Create 'Blue and Brown' challenge.

Alphabet letter skinny

Posted by Picasa Created By Hand challenge this week was to use an 'Alphabet letter' on something so here is my A for Adventures. The background was made using glue and foils in different colours. A map of the USA , a chipboard letter attached with a brad and a piece of ribbon complete this skinny.

Six in One Tonight

Posted by PicasaLast year I managed to do six challenges at the same time and I have managed to equal my own record again tonight. Lots To Do challenge was 'Metal', My Time To Craft was 'Gold', Arty Girlz was 'Flowers',
Created By Hand was 'Gold', Tanda Teaser was 'Hearts and Flowers' and Wednesday Stamper was to use 'Hearts in a Different Way'.
I stamped various floral and swirl images onto white glossy card, floral from Sheena and Swirls from Dimension Fourth and the magazine freebie last week.
I then covered the card with Caramel and Butterscotch Alcohol inks swirling and swooshing on the card. Next, I punched out some gold metal hearts and attached them over the flowers and added a gold gem in the centre. I then edged the corners and embossed a few lines and added some copper pen touch to some of the swirls. Whew that was a job. I could have made it 7 in one as Joanna's challenge this week was also 'hearts' but I had already posted a card for that so thought it would be cheating to count this one in as well lol

Blue Moo

Posted by Picasa Whilst using Glenda's stamps I decided to make a 'Blue Moo' for Created By Hand challenge this week. The background is again from MCS Garden of Romance simply overstamped in blue Stazon. I really am not keen on these tiny creations but each to their own I guess.

Visit Scotland

Posted by PicasaI managed to cover three challenges with this card tonight, 'Black, White and Grey' for Created by Hand, 'Newspapers' for Wednesday Stamper and 'Travel' for Tanda Teaser. I stamped the background with the Thistle stamp in black Stazon then added torn peieces from our local newspaper with a couple of typed and stamped captions. Visit Inverness and see the Highland Games, listen to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and try to spot the Loch Ness Monster on your travels. Welcome to the Highlands – a great place to live, work and play

B is for Blue, Butterfly and Brads

Posted by Picasa 'Initials' for Tanda Teaser, 'Brads' for My Time to Craft, 'Blue' for Make it Mondays , Wings' for Created by Hand, and 'Puzzle' for So Salsa - these are the challenges that this card covers. I made the puzzle background using Stardust Stains and Glimmer Mists then overstamped the butterfly and cut the shapes with the Cuttlebug jigsaw die and attached them to the blue pearlescent card. I added blue rick rack ribbon down the side. The small card with the message inside was stamped with the butterfly onto white watercolour card and coloured using Lyra crayons, then chalked with blue chalks. I added a blue pearl and silver brad, blue and pink ribbon, blue chipboard initial and another raised blue butterfly sticker to complete the card.

Posted by Picasa A little skinny made into a tag for Created by Hand 'Tags' and

A Note For You

Posted by Picasa A little circle tag for Tag You're It 'Circle' challenge. I sprayed the centre from an aperture card with Glimmer Mists, Lily Pad and Frosty Nights then stamped in green Stazon the little owl with the message for you. I added some Stickles silver glitter glue, ribbon and edged the points with green inks. Almost forgot to add Created By Hand challenge too.

Mr Snowman

Posted by Picasa Mr Snowman was created for the Created By Hand 'Fabric' challenge this week. The starry material covers the white silver edged card. The snowman is stamped on acetate and coloured with Sakura pens and glitters and placed under the material. Sorry it is Christmas but I don't do much with fabric at all except for using this wonderful light material paper.

Paint and Foiled Charmer

Posted by Picasa Oh, I am on a roll now with these backgrounds, a bit messy but I love them. I used red, blue and white acrylic paints first, when dry added glue then various coloured foils. I added the mask and crown holographic stickers then attached with a staple the pink and blue ribbon. The charm was made for me by a lovely forum friend Elaine so I added it temporarily (it will go on my phone eventually I think). This card covers Mixed Media Monday 'Paint', My Time to Craft 'Ribbons' and Created by Hand 'Charms' challenges.

New House, New Home

Posted by Picasa Our daughter and family just moved into their new home so here is their welcome card. I can also enter it into the 'House and Home' challenge from Created By Hand this week. The images and background paper are from Joanna's American Frontier cd, simply matted and layered on gold mirri card with a typed message onto a brown card. Inside reads 'don't get two tents' - say it aloud and it sounds like 'don't get too tense'. Best not to get tense when moving house lol.
I am cheating with this one and using it as my entry for My Time To Craft 'New Home' challenge.

Go Green

Posted by Picasa 'Go Green' was the message from Created By Hand so here is my creation. The green card was overstamped in green ink with various trees. The main card background was created using alcohol inks on glossy card and overstamped with Stamp Addicts large trees in black Stazon and the small trees in green Stazon. I have added some sparkle with Sakura to the tops of the small trees.

Friends make life blossom

Posted by Picasa Well, where do I begin with this creation, which has not turned out quite as I expected and has taken me all night to do.
The background brown card was flower stamped for Created By Hand, with versamark then chalked with pink inks. The torn paper was made using Stardust Stains and scrunched to get the textured look for TMTA (a bit large sorry). Pink holographic card gives some sparkle, for My Time to Craft, as does the stamped image which was stamped in brown and coloured with mostly pink for Theme Thursday, cosmic shimmers. The flowers are handmade, for DCM Extra, with gem centres and the message stamped in brown and coloured in pink ink direct to paper. Maybe I can also include Mixed Media Monday's bright colours too.

Flowery Tapestry Bunny

Posted by Picasa This card that I share tonight covers two challenges, Created By Hand 'Bunny' template challenge and DCM extra 'Mum's Recipe' which is 2 buttons, 1 ribbon and a bunch of flowers dare. First, I cut out the bunny using the template given and covered her with Tapestry stamps in pinks, purples and greens. I also stamped the background with flowers, leaves and grasses and coloured them using Cosmic shimmer mica powders. Two green buttons, one for her eye and one for her nose, a white and silver ribbon and a bunch of purple flowers plus a cottonwool tail completed the card. I think she likes the flowers - Happy Easter.

Butterflies, Bees and Ladybirds

Posted by Picasa I have doubled up on this challenge using 'Glossy Card' for Created by Hand and 'Insects' for TMTA. The background was created on glossy white card, using alcohol inks butterscotch, caramel and gold which gives a slight sparkle (hard to see on scan) then stamped with black Stazon the butterflies, ladybirds and bees. I then added the wooden orange butterfly, the yellow buzzy bee and the red and black ladybird.

Image Art

Posted by Picasa OK, so I do know it is only February but never too early for Christmas cards! The image was given to us by Created By Hand to use in our challenge today. I have cheated slightly and should maybe call this Created by Computer. I transferred the Angel image to My Craft Studio and made a background, then placed the Angel on top and added a nice red frame which highlights the red lights on the tree. This is also my entry for Arty Girlz 'Frames' challenge.

Woman in Repose

Here is my entry for TGIF 'Frames' challenge and also Created by Hand 'Black and White' challenge. This lovely stamp is a new one, stamped in black Stazon onto white card and matted and layered with black, white and circle patterned papers. The corners are rounded too. I did not think any other embellishment was needed except the Cherish rubon. I am also adding this to the Black and White challenge from Sunday Stampers which is a new challenge site I have just found.
