Meow

Posted by PicasaThe challenge from CD Sunday this week is 'Meow' - cats are my favourite animals so not difficult for me.  I decided to use a Pamela West cd to create this simple ATC and envelope using a DCWV chipboard tag on pink velvet ribbon for the Meow. Do have a look at the other wonderful DTcreations - they may inspire you to enter the challenge yourself.

Looks Like Summer

Posted by PicasaThis week Wendy over at CD Sunday has asked for 'Looks Like Summer' as the topic for this challenge though looks more like autumn outside here today . Well, I think this fits the bill for my DT card. I used the Pamela West CD from Joanna Sheen to print out the images and the backing papers.  I cut the corner off the front of the white square card and placed the backing paper underneath so a section could be seen.  I simply mounted the topper on foam tape over torn backing paper and added the small image in the corner. The stamped summer word is from Stampscapes.
Do join in the fun and make use of your cds and enjoy the summer challenge. Also check out the other DT cards for some lovely inspiration.

Kind Thoughts

Posted by PicasaI created this image using MCS Professional - I truly love it as it is very much the scene I see up here in the winter time. I added the lattice edging from the Martha Stewart punch and chomped the corners before adding lots of blue and silver Stickles to make the snow glisten. Mmm Christmas is not that far away.
Wendy asked for Kind Thoughts this week for her challenge over at
CD Sunday so I thought this would fit the bill nicely for my DT card and add to my list of cards ready for the festive season.
Do join in the challenge if you get chance, check out the other DT cards and have fun.

Cool Lavenders

Posted by PicasaAgain another simple watercoloured and stamped card -  a relaxing way to end our retreat on the Sunday afternoon.  Not sure where the stamps are from as I did not buy them - bought too much already.  Highlighted with the small dots stamp and the Millenium pen round the edges and mounted onto square card with distressed edges.

Sending You Love

Posted by PicasaSimple stamping here using some lovely fruit stamps from Stamp in the Hand and background blocks.  Coloured and stamped with pens painted on to the stamp.  Simple matting and layering onto gold mirri card onto a brown - yes brown card - I don't do brown but do like this effect.
Oops mark on scanner sorry must go give it a clean.....

Butterfly Phone Charm

Posted by PicasaA little phone charm created using the black clay and cookie cutters and the Clay Squishers dabbed over with Silver Metallic Stazon.

Clay Squishers

Posted by PicasaSome lovely new Clay Squisher plates by Judy Kins are now available from Stamp Addicts and we were amongst the first to try them out.  There are 6 designes per plate - in this case four were inked then the card placed over the top to get the impression.  This was mounted on black card onto the white creased card.  The black clay circle in the centre was made using black clay pressed into the squisher then run over with the silver Metallic Stazon ink pad.  The butterfly was created the same way and cut out using a little cookie cutter then highlighted with silver again and mounted onto the card. These squishers are very useful and can be used in many different ways with or without clay - nice.

All the Best

Posted by Picasa
This is stamped on white card and coloured.  Alcohol inks on vellum for the butterfly and flowers which were punched out and the jewel centres added.  The gold card was run through the Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots then a black ink pad run over the surface. A simple but effective card I think.

Venice Distressed

Posted by PicasaHere is the first of my creations done at the Stamp Addicts retreat last month.  There will be more on following days. Lots of distressing here using a number of different colours including Spiced Marmalade I think.  The cream card was stamped in black with the crackle effect stamp - I love this stamp and already have it.  After the orange and yellow distressing the Venice scene was overstamped in black then the script stamped over the top. Then the crackle was again stamped this time using gold ink. Sections were then highlighted using General's pastel chalk pencils which are lovely.

Just for You

Posted by PicasaThe challenge this week over at CD Sunday is to make a 'Just for You' card - useful for any occasion. I printed out all the images and backing papers from Debbi Moore newGlitter and Glitz cd - I love her images.  I decided to use different colours for me this time chosing brown and creams with a touch of black and orange - no purple to be seen. The base card is one of those double pull out cards but I think it looks better scanned than photographed for the computer.  I simply pyramged the main image and layered over the lovely varied backing papers to give a nice raised effect.  A couple of gold peel offs to finish off.
Do use your cds that are sitting on the shelf and enter the challenge for yourself this week. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Art Deco Lady

Posted by PicasaHere is my Art Deco card made for my challenge this week.
Last week I squirted some Stickles and the top flew out and the glue went everywhere - fortunately onto a white piece of card, so rather than waste it, we don't waste a thing do we? I made this background. It took ages to dry hence the delay posting the card.  I added the lovely lady from Debbi Moore 'Glitter and Glitz' cd, then attached the 'Remember' chipboard tag and some more Stickles on her dress and hat.  I scored three lines at the top of the page using the Martha Stewart score board - not easy to see I fear.

New design easel card

Posted by PicasaCrafty  Ann asked us to produce a new and different shaped easel card this week so here is my DT card.   I really don't like making shaped cards for DT cards as they never come out on a photo as well as they do when you scan them but hey ho this is the best I can make it come out..... I cut out the strange shaped diamond card after playing around with some paper and quite liked the result.  The background card is from Kanban and as you see the light is reflected off the wonderful mirri swirls.  I added some glitter sparkle paper to the bottom of the card and added the cut out corners from the diamond shape to the corners.  The image is from Crafty Ann manipulated in MCS to make the tower of cupcakes , embossed with clear sparkle meltdust and coloured using Copics and Promarkers. I added the flowers from Prima to the base of the card.
Do pop over to Ann's blog and enter the challenge yourself - you may win some of her lovely digi images.  Check out the other DT cards too they are all fabulous.

Father Christmas

Here is my entry for this weeks Bah Humbug Christmas challenge 'Father Christmas'.  I decided to make a tree ornament as I found a box of them floating around my craft room.  I coloured him using Copics and a combination of white Perfect Pearls and Stickles Glitter Glue. Hope you like him.
